Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Cozy and clever, perfect for curling up on the couch.
Review: After working a book signing with author Sally Gunning, and purchasing all of her available paperbacks (and YES, getting them signed too!), she recommended that I read this one first. Loving mysteries and needing something that wouldn't involve a tremendous time committment from me to read, I picked this one out of my Gunning stack. I loved it and immediately proceeded to plow through the rest of the stack. Now I buy her books as soon as I see them out in stores.

In this mystery, Gunning's clever do-it-all handyman Pete Bartholomew, turns into local sleuth, when a murder happens at a Christmas party he's attending.

Through her fun plotlines and the continuing saga of Pete and his ex-wife Connie, Sally Gunning's books are ALWAYS a fun and relaxing read. With her fictional location of Nashtoba, she creates the spirit of Massachusetts' own Cape Cod.

I recommend this book to anyone looking for a good story and characters you'll want to follow along with.
