Summary: Under Water is an exciting and wonderful book.
Review: As my first Sally Gunning book, I am extremely impressed. Under Water is exciting and filled with mystery. It keeps you on the edge of your seat. It is filled with suspense; murder in a smal town and so few clues. I am planning to read all of Sally Gunning's books and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Summary: Death on the beach
Review: Peter Bartholemew and a young friend are taking a walk on the beach when they make a startling discovery, the dead body of a young local girl. The girl's twin and her mother are understandably distraught and Peter vows to help solve the mystery of her death. There are several suspects among the young people at the local high school, where Peter's ex-wife teaches, as well as others in the community. This book is not as well-written as many other "cozies", and involves some rather improbable scenarios, thus its average rating.

Review: UNDER WATER SALLY GUNNING 215 PGS.The important characters in this story are Peter Bartholomew, Mxine Peck, Bentley and Carlise Brown, Travis, and Connie, Peters ex-wife. It takes place on an island called Nashtoba. It was a tight little community. It started on a bright sunny day and peter was walking with Maxine on the beach. They were enjoying the scenery when Mexine spots what she thought was a balloon in the water. she ran toward it. Then she started screaming. She realized it wasnt a balloon but a dead girls body. Her friend Bentleys dead body. She was lying there motionless in the water. Peter calms Maxine down and tells her to go get help. The police got there and checked Bentleys body. After, they came to the conclusion that she didnt drown...she was killed and pregnant. And the only lead to the killer was a class ring found by Peter. The golden line I'd wish i'd written was: " was it every single pair of eyes that turned from carlise failed to light on anyone else.pg38, Par2. The cover of the book shows a beach and a dead girl under the waves. this represents when Bentley is found dead and this is where the mystery beigns. the title of the book is under water because the death of Bentley took place in the water. I would recommend this book if you like mysteries. Also, the way the author would go back and forth with the characters was really creative. you got to see what was happening to different people.
