Rating: Summary: Sleuthing as an Art Form Review: First off, I am prejudiced about this book. Marcia Mayo is a colleague. I know her and I know some of her characters. The dialog between Annabelle McGee and her buddy J.B. Jones sounds an awful lot like conversations I have heard in the hall outside my office between Marcia and her buddy Debra, and others. Aside from my predilection to like the book (Marcia threatened me with mayhem if I didnt give her a favorable review), it really is a fun read. Annabelle McGee is a 50 year old flower child, divorced with children grown, operating an art shop from her home in rural Rivers End, Georgia. Old enemy, now Tallahassee socialite, PhaPha Eberhart drops off a truly horrible painting and asks Annabelle to sell it for her on consignment. Shortly thereafter a disreputable character shows up and buys the painting. Then PhaPha is found dead in the deli section of Rivers Ends sole supermarket. Annabelle decides to solve the murder and, with assistance from her buddy and next door neighbor, J.B. Jones, finally does. Like Kathy Trocheks Callahan Garrity novels and Patricia Sprinkles stories, Marcia Mayos characters and their peccadillos are at least as important as the story line. The story hangs together with interesting twists and turns. And the characters and their interactions are truly delightful. Maybe there will be more adventures of Annabelle McGee. I hope so.

Rating: Summary: amazing book Review: I thoroughly enjoyed the storyline in this book. I found the characters and animals to be true to the life that can be found in southwestern Georgia. Please keep writing so that we can stay in touch with our true selves; for I have always heard that perception is reality.
Rating: Summary: Laughing Out Loud Review: Mayo's cosmic mystery had me laughing from the second page! I enjoy a mystery, especially one where I am kept guessing as to the perpetrator! Cold Cuts is a delightful read. I recommend it to others who enjoy a humorous approach to their mysteries.
Rating: Summary: Marcia Mayo applause Review: To put it quite simlply, Delightfully Enjoyable. If you like the Sephanie Plum Novels, you will find reading this a similar enjoyable experience. Find myself wishing for there were more Annabelle adventures to dive into.
