Summary: Don't Wait for the Movie.
Review: I got through about the first three stories in this book and threw it away. I've read many books on ghosts and ghost stories but this was the worst! There was an episode in where a woman's car caught on fire, while driving next to the cemetery where a loved one was buried. She got a wedding dress out of the car "just in time" and as she stood away watching the car burn the head lights were on. "A sign from the dearly departed" Oh, please! I call it luck and a coincidence! And I'm not a skeptic, either! Forget this one and read "In A Dark Place", trust me.

Summary: EXCELLENT book!
Review: There are two books titled BIG SKY GHOSTS: Volume 1 and volume 2.
This review is for Volume 2.

I am still trying to locate and purchase Volume 1.

This is an excellent book!

Included are the TRUE hauntings of the Chico Hot Springs Lodge in Pray, Montana by Percie Knowles,
haunted Virginia City, The ghost of Clore Street,
Ghostly Garnet, Montana's Haunted Mines, The tragedy of Big Hole Battlefield, the haunting of the Montana State University Theater, Hannah Flagg-- the ghost of Niarada, assorted haunted houses of Helena, Montana ghost lights, more haunted theaters (included is the Fort Peck Theatre), plus much more.

There are several excellent old black and white photos- particularly interesting is the picture of Percie Knowles on page 111!

Highly recommended!

Debra Munn also wrote another excellent book: Ghosts On The Range: Eerie True Tales Of Wyoming.

Summary: Not As Bad As Some Think
Review: This was an interesting book. Some of it is more in the line of "an unexplained occurrance" rather than a true ghost story, but several of the stories this author has collected are interesting. My favorite was about a courthouse haunted by a ghost that hated the Clash! When the janitor put "London Calling" on the tape player,it would switch off as soon as it was left alone. Well,I like the Clash myself.I give this book a solid Three Stars-... Not a bad deal

Big Sky Ghosts, Debra D. Munn, Pruett Publishing Company, 1993

I though that this was a good book for any one especially if you live in Montana. It has stories told by real people and facts to prove them. Debra gathered her information by interviewing people about the spooky happenings. The book tells about ghosts from all over Montana, places such as Bannack, Carroll College, and Missoula. Overall it was a great book.

Indian Creek Chronicles, Pete Fromm, Lyons & Burford, Publishers, 1993
This was a great piece of Montana literature. It shows what Montana is really like, the harsh weather, that it's not all nice weather and beautiful mountains. The book tells about a man that survives seven months in a little canvas tent. The best part, he doesn't know what the heck he's doing. But all-in-all a good book.
