Summary: Even Surgery Could Wait
Review: BLOOD ORANGE A story of love, lust, Terror and death By Sylvia Snyder. I read BLOOD ORANGE In the waiting room of the hospital while my husband Hank was undergoing surgery down the hall. Even before I finished the prologue, I knew I was hooked. The hustle and bustle sounds of the hospital staff muted as I turned page after page after page. I never looked at my watch once. I got so engrossed in this psychological thriller that I was almost irritated when Dr. Taylor interrupted my reading to tell me my husband's surgery had been a success. I rushed to room 409, managing to finish BLOOD ORANGE and discover the identity of the murderer right before the nurses rolled Hank in from the recovery room. This book is a suspense novel full of terrifying clues left in a lush orange grove, leaving the reader constantly wondering which of the characters the murderer might be. Is it Mo who lusts for Celia? Is it Paul who is married to Celia? Is it Nat who flirts openly with Celia? And, who will be the next victim? Will it be Mo? Will it be Paul? Will it be Celia or one of her children? How could such terrible things happen in such a perfect neighborhood? "When along came a spider who sat down beside her..." If you fancy spiders, you'll love this book. If you detest spiders, you'll love this book. If you like strong happy endings, you'll devour this book. Sylvia Snyder has once again given us the gift of a great read.-- Lola D. Gillebaard is an author, an associate college professor, and a motivational humorist.

Summary: Superb Psychological Thriller
Review: BLOOD ORANGE is set in the home of my youth, Orange County, in the 1950's. The setting was so real, I could swear the aroma of orange blossoms filled my room. Turning page after scary page, I found myself engrossed in this spine-tingling psychological thriller. Those orange groves looked pretty scary to me, as a kid, and now I know they truly were a dangerous place - perfect for murder, mystery...and hair-raising adventure. Ms. Snyder's captivating cast of characters, led by a strong female heroine, wind their way through this very frightening tale. The ending is quite chilling, and I read it twice for double thrills! I look forward to further great reads from this author and heartily recommend BLOOD ORANGE.

Summary: Can I Have Two Please??
Review: I ordered this book for my mom, but when it came the cover looked so inviting I thought I would read a few pages, just to "see". I was hooked. I did not put it down until I was finished. Now I am going to order another one so that I have my own copy. Growing up in Santa Ana, it was fun reading about places I knew and I found myself trying to see if I recognized any of the characters! I am a lover of romance novels and not a great fan of mysteries but the combination of the two in this wonderful book has me hooked and wanting more. So Sylvia! Is there a sequel on the horizon?? I would be front and center waiting to order if there was. Thanks for a really great read.
