Review: Funny. Witty. Surprising. Think of any positive adjective and it probably applies to Sheckley's Alternative Detective novels. Sheckley's writing technique is so sharp and his characters so real and engaging that even without the mystery element, these books would be riveting. That there _is_ a mystery that Hob is out to solve makes it all the better.
