Rating: Summary: A different kind of thriller that is fascinating Review: Brian Poole is irate that a movie company has decided to film the life of his deceased, former girl friend, Kim Sanders, who died from an overdose. Seething about the movie, Miss Colorado, Brian destroys the entire set of a reconstructed Colorado town. Brian is arrested by the Colorado Springs police force. Brian's current girl friend, Eve Sherman calls Brian's brother Charlie, who immediately flies from Chicago to Colorado to bail his sibling out of jail. However, Brian continues his criminal actions towards stopping the film from ever being made. Meanwhile, while trying to stop his brother from getting in any deeper, Charlie finds himself falling in love with Eve. EVE'S MEN is a very frightening thriller because the novel feels so authentic. The characters seem real, even to the point that Brian constantly chumps the two people who care for him because they must believe they can help him overcome his need for revenge. Even thoughEve and Charlie know that Brian is losing his mind, they cannot stop themselves from playing the roles of suckers. Somehow, this turns Newton Thornburg's thriller into an awesome, realistic chiller. Harriet Klausner
