Review: In a field of much-hyped and overhyped "legal thrillers", some of which are merely poor imitations of Grisham and Taylor Rosenberg plots, this book stands out for its uncannily interwoven depiction of the many characters involved in a criminal investigation, from the journalists who cover it, to the politicos whose weigh in their agenda interests, to the prosecutors and police officers, to the victim who turns out to be not quite what he seemed to be in life. The characters have rich emotional histories which come into play, and there is even a very touching romance subplot. A great read!
