Rating: Summary: Flibberty Jib On The Bibberty Bop Review: Bruce Forman is the best jazz guitarist I've ever heard live; maybe ever. He's so quick and yet so lyrical. His riffs are terse and intense, emotional and cerebral. The only demerit he earns is in the length of his breaks. He's a friendly guy who likes to visit. He writes the same way. When the scene is happening, it's really happening, like the Big Sur riff at Post Ranch. But he takes too many breaks in the narrative and they last too long. And yet, the next riff is worth waiting for, just like his playing. Great promise for future efforts.
Rating: Summary: From a musician's perspective Review: I read this book quickly, finishing up at 2:30 one morning...it's the kind of book that leaves you wanting more...The author, Bruce Forman did a great job of introducing me to the world of a jazz musician, wonderfully illustrating highs, lows, appoggiaturas and glissandos. The story ressembled delightful music, and an opportunity for me to learn about the life of a performer from a performance artist's perspective. I'm ready for the sequel...great first book!
Rating: Summary: A real musician tells a great story Review: I would like to recommend Bruce Forman's novel Trust Me for any musician who has ever dealt with managers, agents, etc. and who ever aspired to be famous. The book reads well, is quick, exciting, and has an excellent flow to the story. You'll Enjoy It!
Rating: Summary: A page turner Review: What a great summer read! Had everything to keep interest going all through the book, with an exciting ending to boot. It really gave me a glimpse into a musician's world, and the fact that it takes place in some of the most beautiful settings in the world (Carmel-Big Sur-San Francisco)just added to the pleasure. Hope there are more of these to come.

Rating: Summary: review Review: You don't have to go away for the weekend, this book will take you there. If your spirituality is slightly frayed and mass marketing of "being found" makes you want to double back for an IN-N-OUT Burger, this is your book. Trust Me provides a place you can slip right into,it's characters are immediately accessable, loveable, loathable. It offers truths and insights into the magic and madness of music's world, you might not want to go home.
