Summary: Mirror, Mirror on the Wall, Who Dies Next?
Review: Cliffside, how come she sees the sign for that small town in her dreams? How come two different people in Atlanta have called her Caroline when her name is Joanna? These are only two of the questions that have come to puzzle research librarian Joanna Flynn after her near fatal auto accident. Joanna, puts the clues together, finds out that a woman named Caroline McKenna, who is her exact age, died in an accident in Cliffside, Oregan at the same time she survived her own accident and to make matters even more coincidental, they could have been twins. Caroline goes to Oregon and finds more than she bargained for, more than anyone could have bargained for.I enjoyed this five star, character driven book more than I can say. Summary: Southern Romance and Suspense
Review: Finding Laura is the third book I have read by Kay Hooper. From reading the back, the story did not appear to be as intriging as After Caroline and Amanda, and I was in no hurry to read it. However, my mother accidently revealed a secret from the book, and I decided it might be more interesting than I thought. At any rate, I read it, and found it to be just as good as Ms. Hooper's other books. I suggest it to everyone.

Summary: Kay Hooper is a joy to read; a very talented writer
Review: For as long as Laura can remember, she has had an inexplicable need tocollecting hand mirrors. She sometimes feels that when she finds the rightone, all her vague questions and suppressed feelings that have haunted her forever will finally be answered. When Laura accepts an invitation to attend the wealthy, powerful, but mysterious Kilbourne Auction, she finds the mirror that she has been obsessively searching for. However, when she returns home and look into the mirror, all she sees is a reflection of herself. That night, Peter Kilbourne arrives at her home and offers Laura an exorbitant amount of money to buy back the mirror. Laura refuses the money because she knows that she has found the treasure that she has spent a lifetime seeking. The next day, two police officers visit Laura, informing her that Peter has been murdered and she is the last known person to have seen him alive. Obviously, Laura is the prime suspect and feels she must actively clear her name. Laura impulsively visits the Kilbournes to learn why the victim wanted to buy back the mirror. She gets no answers, only more questions when she meets the sensual heir apparent, Daniel Kilbourne, a man she is meeting for the first time yet feels like she has known for eternity. The fun in reading a Kay Hooper novel is that one never knows what the great author is going to come up with, but everyone knows it will be a winner. FINDING LAURA is a shining showcase for the brilliant creativity of this dynamic writer. The novel beguiles the audience with a riveting romance, a couple of mysterious murders that are challenging to solve, and a dose of magic that adds an otherworldly feel to a keeper that will gather no dust. Summary: I love Kay Hooper
Review: I have read many Kay Hooper novels and found them all interesting, particularly the "Shadow" series. That's why I read Finding Laura and was not disappointed. This romantic suspense story revolves around an antique mirror, a wealthy dysfunctional family, and murder. I did not figure out who did it early on as many books seem to divulge. I liked the original storyline and interesting characters. I would recommend it to a friend.

Review: I was hooked reading Kay Hooper's stories when I first read "Haunting Rachel". "Finding Laura" was by far my favorite! Perhaps because there is the sense of "deja vu" and something almost remembered keeping the plot tantalizing. The romantic scenes were haunting in their ability to add to the puzzle. A MUST read for Kay Hooper fans!

Review: In "Finding Laura" Kay Hooper has mixed romance, mystery and fantasy for a great read. Our herione, Laura is mysteriously drawn to mirrors of all kinds and to one man, Daniel, for reasons she does not understand, but she can not resist these two things even though they both seem to be drawing her into danger including murder. The chemistry between Daniel and Laura jumps right off the page and grabs you and you will be envious of their passion and love. But will this overcome all the secrets that hide in Daniel's family, including a recently murdered brother and a family that does not appear to be mourning him? In the meantime Laura has moved into Daniel's family home which is ruled by the family matriarc, Amelia, whose husband (Daniel's father) was killed in an "accident" many years ago. Can Daniel be trusted? and why won't he tell Laura what he knows about the mirror that brought the two of them together. I'm not going to tell you because this book is definetly worth the read to find out. Very exciting and very satisfying ending.

Summary: Flat
Review: The storyline in this book might have been interesting except that a mood was never successfully set. At one point, the heroine, Laura, describes Daniel, the hero, as "expressionless", enigmatic", and "showing barely more emotion than a sphinx". I found this to be true of all the characters. I had no sense of involvement in the lives of the players, with the possible exception of Alex who was more animated than the others but had a fairly minor role. I did not at all like the way in which Peter's murderer was revealed. But on the positive side, I never came close to identifying the murderer on my own. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this book.

Review: This book is so amazing... It really takes you away in to a dream that we all wish we could have. I highly reccomend this book.. It's undescribable. I couldn't do it justice to describe it but you must read it..
