Rating: Summary: Dead Woman's Voice Review: A really great reading experience. A friend recommended this book and I was addicted from the first chapter. Do yourself a favor and read this one. Great ending.
Rating: Summary: Unputdownable! Review: Dead Woman's Voice is a great thriller! It was recommended by a friend - never have I read a more 'grab-and-hold-until-the-last-page' work by a new author. The plot is original, if not to say unusual and unexpected; it builds and grows like a crescendo - thoroughly fascinating and believable characters, one of whom is an architect, I understand the author is one, too - obviously knowing what he is writing about. So, the story is more than authentic. The end is a finale which knocks the wind out of you. I hate using a cliché like 'unputdownable', but here it is appropriate. Do not start reading this book late in the evening - it will keep you up most of the night and make you unfit for work the next day; you cannot get the plot out of your mind. My only regret was coming to the end of this absolutely gripping story. I guess like most readers of Dead Woman's Voice, I have only one question: When do we see Hutner's next work?
Rating: Summary: A Great Read Review: Fast paced, exciting and filled with interesting characters. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The ending will surprise you!
Rating: Summary: Smashing suspense thriller! Review: From the first page to the last, I was riveted to this book. It's filled with fascinating characters, written with such insight, that they seem real. The continually changing and challenging circumstances in which they find themselves, and the constant twists and turns of the plot leave you breathless with anticipation and wanting to read on and on. The story is truly original and ingenius, totally different from all the usual "formula" books I have read, and just when you think you've figured it out, it swoops you off in a different direction winding tighter and tighter until the end, which frankly, knocked me off my feet. I would recommend this book to anyone. This is a fresh new talent and I can't wait to read Laurence Hutner's next one.

Rating: Summary: Chilling Review: Investigating a bright light that would indicate an explosion, though there is no sign of one, a kindly rural sherriff discovers a dazed half dressed young woman wandering a lonely road. He takes her home and she becomes a part of his family quickly.Investigation reveals that "Honey" as she is called, is none other than the long lost illegitimate daughter of a powerful man, Renate. He claims his daughter, and hours later, the people who befriended her are dead. Shortly thereafter, she meets a young archetecht, Hector Garcia, and they begin to fall in love. However, this may be the most dangerous thing Hector has ever done. Becoming involved with Renate brings him into a frightening world of spies and bombs. It appears that Renate's uncovered memory does not jive with the life she is supposed to have had, and these two may be the only ones who can stop a frightening weapon from being unleashed. Just when you think the nightmare is over, the story twists. It has only just begun. ***** After reading this book, you will question reality. In a tale told as skillfully as James Patterson, multi faceted characters and a heart stopping plot combine to keep you on the edge of your seat. *****
Rating: Summary: The next Ayn Rand Review: Mr. Hutner even makes reference to "The Fountainhead" in this complex, finely crafted thriller. Like he was building a structure without showing you the end result, the author creates several, seemingly unrelated, stories and gradually leads the totally engrossed reader to the center of the maze. He surprises, carefully integrates, wastes no words and leaves no loose ends. This novel is from the mind of master storyteller; unbelievably his first.
