Rating: 1 stars
Summary: very poor
Review: It would be unfair to the other books that I hated to say I hated this book. Full disclosure: I quit after 50 pages, so perhaps I am not qualified to review it. I will say, though, that I think I quit 49 pages too late.

Before you buy/read this, ask yourself this question: what kind of author names his main character "Moses Wine"?

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Reader From Mid Hudson Valley NY
Review: The second of the Moses Wine series of detective novels from Roger L. Simon. If you liked the Big Fix you will also like Wild Turkey. The counter-culture of the 60's/early 70's meets Dashiell Hammett and Raymond Chandler. All of the Moses Wine mysteries are worth checking out. They will not disappoint. It is interesting to note that the first Moses Wine mysteries were originally published by Straight Arrow Books which was a subsidiary of Rolling Stone Magazine.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Fabulously funny
Review: This is one of the wittiest mysteries I have ever read. Great black comedy that hasn't dated at all.
