Summary: Badly constructed "predictable" last part of the book.
Review: John Sandford has created a very one-dimensionell, shallow, uninteresting hero in Lucas Davenport. But he has created an interesting, deep, multi-dimensionel villain in Clara Riker. The first 80% of the book are exiting and intersting, Yet at the end of the book he makes a very fast, sloppy, unrealistic ending, i.e suddenly making the careful and smart Clara Riker act irrational and stupid so she can be killed by the "correct" side. What happened? did the author run out of paper/discmemory.This is probably the last book of John Sandford I will read. Of course it is not necessary or even desirable that the "bad" guys win. But to suddenly make an unnatural change in the main character (make her behave like an idiot),to allow for a quick "correct" ending is ridicoulus. What's the point in reading future John Sandford, (Lucas Davenport)books if you know how the book will end before you start reading.
