Summary: Murder on the Jersey Shore with attitude
Review: MURDER DOESN'T FIGURE, is a novel about a fifty-year old financial consultant who, through no fault of his own gets caught up in a complex murder investigation. Marked as a suspect and under a cloud of suspicion, Fred Dansk, is content to ride out the storm. That is, until the deranged killer resets his sights on him. Given no choice, Dansk is forced to enlist the aid of his long time friend Tuck Meacham and together through a combination of resourcefullness, nerve and an uncommon knowledge of finance they solve the case. Interjected throughout the novel is a heavy dose of sarcasm, conflict, bourbon and humor. If you want a different type of mystery, read MURDER DOESN'T FIGURE.

Summary: The butler didn't do it
Review: No run of the mill mystery. As a middle aged Californian I was enthralled that at last we have a leading character who is not Rambo or Tom Cruise. Bravo to Fred Yorg for giving us a story and characters that ring true. I could not put the book down. Give us more Fred!

Summary: Great Premise For A Mystery
Review: The premise for this book is most unique, a financial man getting caught up in the murder of one of his clients. Once he is involved he is forced to solve the case by relying on clues of a financial nature inorder to lead him to the killer. I enjoyed the way the author kept you guessing up to the final pages as to the killer's identity and his twisted motives. Easy to read and descriptive, so you get to know the quirky characters first hand. Just the right amount of humor, suspense and mystery. Very fast read. Very entertaining.

Summary: BEST OF THE BUNCH
Review: This was the best book that I've read over the past year.
I read between 15 and 20 books per year and found MURDER DOESN'T FIGURE, to be the best by far. The plot was intriguing throughout, the dialogue and characters had humor and depth. Once you start this book you wouldn't put it down. If you read one mystery per year or a lot you don't want to miss this one. I look forward to his next book. Also liked Carl Hiaasen and Nelson DeMille.

Yorg paints a picture of the jersey shore that all true Jerseyites are sure to appreciate. After reading this book, readers must be eagerly awaiting more from this new author! I would venture to say that Fred Yorg is one of Jersey's best kept secrets!
