Summary: easy reading mystery with a lot of zap
Review: After skimming a few pages of this book, I put down my Anne Rice novel and jumped right in. I love the single female detective books anyway. If you like Sue Grafton, you will love this author. It is nice to read a book that has the proper spacing also! You don't need reading glasses to SEE IT!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great Read!
Review: Deadly Sanctuary has good character and plot development, and the story moves at a great pace. Nice fluid style that holds a reader's interest. I found myself caring for the characters. My favorite was Ginger. I love the way Ms. Nobel made a smalltown gossip endearing instead of just another nuisance. Sylvia Nobel spins a good tale, so I'll be reading the entire series.

Summary: Tony Hillerman fans will love this one!
Review: Enjoy Southwest lore? Love a mystery? Recently I read a mystery by a comparatively new and very promising author who resides in the Phoenix area, Sylvia Nobel, which combines both features. Deadly Sanctuary is a fast paced mystery which takes place here in Arizona. The heroine, Kendall O'Dell, takes a new job at a small AZ newspaper and stumbles into an evil conspiracy involving the death of two teen-aged girls. Sylvia Nobel's tale of mystery will hold your attention from beginning to end. Her style is similar to Tony Hillerman. Try it--you'll like it!

Summary: Sylvia Nobel knows how to write a mystery
Review: I have read all three of Sylvia's books, but Deadly Sanctuary kept me guessing right up to the end---what a surprise!!! I read it on my lunch hours, and had to force myself to go back to work. I HAD to know what would happen next.

This is a great read, and I recommend it to anyone who loves mysteries. This feisty redhead will keep you entertained for hours with her sometimes harrowing escapades in the Arizona
desert.

Summary: Enjoyable reading
Review: I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. The author's appreciation for living in Arizona was evident from her references to this state.

Summary: Absolutly Amazing!!!
Review: I'm living in Prescott, AZ, now for school, and I was happy she mentioned Perscott, lol. I'm from a small, desert AZ town of (Parker), so I understand everything she talks about. I lived there all my life! Prescott is huge to me, lol!

Anyway, she's a great author. Perhaps I can meet her someday!

Summary: Creepy blend of spooky psycho-thriller and whodunit.
Review: I'm not usually a big mystery buff, but I thought I'd give this one a try and I'm glad I did. Now I understand what the phrase "compulsive page turner" means -- I just couldn't stop reading! It's such an imaginative plot, with so many twists and turns I can't imagine many readers figuring it out ahead of time. A definite must read.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Intense Page Turner
Review: This book is fabulous! You will read it in one sitting because you cannot put it down! A great mystery, quite the whodunit! I recommend it tremendously! Then hurry up and buy The Devil's Cradle and Dark Moon Rising ASAP, because you can't get enough of Kendall O'Dell!
