Rating: Summary: A biased, but genuine opinion! Review: I must state before I even start, that this review will be biased. Judy Fitzwater's daughter happens to be one of my closest and dearest friends and so, in turn, is Judy Fitzwater herself. I'm proud to say that I spent a night or two sitting in the Fitzwater's home pondering the possible outcomes of this book. Judy Fitzwater is not only a brilliant and talented writer but a great woman all around. Dying to Remember is all I expected it to be. Jennifer has once again connected with me very closely. In fact, all of the characters in the novel are realistic; if you don't identify with one, than you certianly will with another. Somewhere, you are in that book. That's one of the things that amazes me about Judy Fitzwater; she includes a little piece of everyone in her writing. I won't give the mystery away. Suffice to say that up till the end I was "dying for a clue".
Rating: Summary: The best Fitzwater yet Review: Jennifer Marsh remains unpublished in Macon. The murder takes place at a high school reunion. The explorations of rivalries and romances and status-seeking 12 years after graduation adds a rich dimension to the characters and plausibility to their motivation. This time she does not use the book-about-a writer-writing-a book gag as much, but Judy Fitzwater interviews Jennifer Marsh at the end.

Rating: Summary: Reunion From Hell Review: Jennifer Marsh, part-time caterer and full time, trying to be a mystery writer is going to her high school reunion.
Although it's not technically her class that's celebrating their reunion, it's the 10th & she graduated 12 years ago, all classes are welcome. (Only way to get a big turn out).
Jennifer didn't particuarly want to remember her high school prom, she went with her dream guy Danny Buckner, who ended up leaving her sitting in the car in the parking lot while he went to talk to friends and never came back to take her home. Having to call your father to come pick you up at the prom was bad enough, but coming home to find her house toilet papered by Sheena Cassidy (David's ex-girlfriend) who was a wee bit jealous.
But, her friend from her writers group, Leigh Ann was going and Jennifer promised to go with her. Although, after receiving a note from Danny that he had to talk to her, she wanted to change her mind again.
The reunion started out bad. Jennifer see's Danny, who's now married to the obnoxious Sheena and a lot of other people who she had hoped never to see again.
The only person missing was Jimmy Mitchell, who had disappeared on Prom Night, 12 years before.
When Danny manages to get Jennifer alone. He's read the paper and is under the assumption she is some kind of detective. (Her short lived career with Detective Johnny Z led him to this wrong-headed assumption). He only has time to ask for her help when he's called away by his friends and by the end of the night he's dead in his car, an apparant suicide.
Did he commit suicide, Did Sheena finally give into her jealousy and kill him?
What about Gavin Lawless, cousin of the missing Jimmy, who was now a songwriter. He had sent a song to Danny, claiming he knew something about Jimmy's disappearance and it seems to contain a threat against Danny.
Or Ben Underwood, Jimmy's best friend, who the police considered their number one suspect 12 years ago.
Jennifer didn't really want to investigate this, but the police seemed to believe Danny actually committed suicide and she felt she had to do something to prove that her first love, had been murdered.
Highlights:
Jennifer and her writer's group going out in the middle of the night, in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of the woods, looking for a body, armed to the teeth.
Sam Culpepper, reporter and Jennifer's sort of boyfriend, once again remaining perfectly calm while surrounded by a bunch of crazy people.
Sheena re-enacting her crowning as Prom Queen and having first runner up Mary-Jo rip the crown from her head, claiming she was robbed since Sheena had been in charge of counting votes at their high school prom.
Teague McAfee - reporter for the local trashy newspaper.
Lowlight
Once again Jennifer does some really stupid things, especially in her plan to catch the killer.
She seems to have dropped some of the characters that had appeared in her earlier books, such as Emmie Walker and her mutant dog.
An enjoyable read. These books go very fast.
Rating: Summary: An enjoyable mystery series Review: Judy Fitzwater presents her fourth Jennifer Marsh mystery. Her protagonist lives in her hometown, writes mysteries, and is a member of a group that listens and critiques each other's work. She has found that she is a magnet for people in search of help, and that help usually result in a body or two.In this storyline Leigh Ann, Jennifer's friend, talks her into going to their High School reunion. Jennifer's memory of the prom is more like a horror vision than a romantic recollection. Leigh Ann's selling point is a chance run-in with the high school hunk, Danny. Even though Jennifer is dating Sam, she is tempted to see the man she went to the prom with to get back at a cheerleader named Sheena. Those who still identify with their school memories and reunions will most likely relate to the excitement surrounding the reunion, and the characters reactions to feeling eighteen again. I am one who doesn't relate to it at all, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying the mystery. The reunion totally encompasses what happened the night of the prom twelve years ago and the present reunion. There are plenty of characters; they all seem to rate in the popular to average clicks in High School, and they all seem to be successful in what ever they are doing in the present. Once the reunion takes off, things begin to happen. Jennifer finds herself face to face with Danny who warns her that old secrets are rising to the surface and he needs a private investigator, namely her; an old acquaintance shows up drunk spewing clues about the past mystery of a missing student; two sad, pathetic women fight over something only they find important; Leigh Ann goes home with a crooner; someone is murdered, and Jennifer goes home with the realization of a nightmare revisited. As the mystery and suspense builds the bad guys aren't revealed or really even hinted at - the where a bouts of the missing student and the person or persons threatening Jennifer and her friends, pretty much stays hidden through out the storyline, which makes it a tough one to solve. The ending was satisfying for me, since I didn't have suspect in mind to begin with. The plot of a High School reunion, where a mystery from the past comes back to haunt the now grown students, and with characters that most could identify, may seem familiar, but the twists and turns aren't. Judy Fitzwater did a good job of making the plot her own. While reading, I don't recall there being any past spoilers to worry about, should this be the first Jennifer Marsh mystery you read.
Rating: Summary: A Light, Fun Mystery Review: Poor Jennifer Marsh, still unpublished, aspiring mystery writer is wondering what she's doing at her high school reunion. Everyone there seems to have "peaked" in high school, from the now overweight, going soft jocks, to the old cheerleadering squad to her first love Danny Buckner, who abandoned her at the senior prom, the absolute worst night of her life. Now he wants to meet and talk privately with her. But before he can say two words, the class football star, Al Carpenter whisks him away, just like he did the night of the prom, and the next time anyone sees Danny, he's dead, sitting in his car with the engine running. Suicide? Murder? This current death brings back more bad memories of prom night, twelve years ago. That was the night, Jimmy Mitchell went missing, presumed dead, his body never found and the case never solved. This is all too much of a coincidence for Jennifer and with the help of her boyfriend, Sam and the women in her writer's critique group, she's determined to find out exactly what happened on prom night, twelve years ago and how it connects to Danny's death..... Judy Fitzwater is back with another entertaining, well paced mystery, full of quirky characters, smart, witty writing, laugh-out-loud dialogue and enough twists, turns and surprises to keep you guessing to the end. This is the fourth mystery in this fun series. For those of you new to Jennifer Marsh and company, start with Dying to Get Published and read them all. If you're already a fan, put up your feet and spend the next couple of hours letting Judy Fitzwater work her magic.

Rating: Summary: A Masterful Story Review: The plot of this novel is fantastic. The disappearance of Jimmy Mitchell from prom night Jennifer's senior year is as creepy as it is ingenious. The current mystery of who killed Jennifer's old boyfriend Danny Buckner is interesting and the way it wraps into the solution of Jimmy's disappearance took me completely by surprise. Every element combines in this mystery to create a tight, intriguing plot that left me not wanting to put it down. And then there's Gavin. His relationship with Leigh Ann is beautifully written. I very much hope that one day we'll see him again. I haven't been to my own high school reunion yet, but reading Jennifer's made up for it. Fitzwater described all of those feelings of insecurity and being a teenager with endearing expertise and has written very real characters that I feel like I went to high school with. This is a wonderful book, one of my very favorites.
Rating: Summary: Jennifer Marsh is back at it again Review: This is the fourth Jennifer Marsh mystery and will entertain readers who have enjoyed the first three. Jennifer is an amatuer mystery novelist who has yet to get a publisher interested in any of her books. However, this does not keep Jennifer from getting involved in a local murder. Jennifer is conned into going to her high school reunion by her good friend and fellow writer, Leigh Ann. At the reunion, Jennifer sees her high school sweet heart and his wife Sheena, the girl who won Danny back from Jennifer and who she has never quite gotten over. After Danny is murdered at the reunion, Sheena must ask Jennifer for help and she is plunged into another murder that took place twenty years earlier on prom night. With Sam, her long time beau, at her side as well as the aide of her friends Jennifer must uncover the truth behind both murders if she is be able to move past this long time love. The Jennifer Marsh series may not be the most in depth or thriling mystery series out there but the characters tend to grow on readers. How could resist wanting to curl up with a cute mystery about Jennifer and her greyhound Fluffy! This is a great series to read in between the hard boiler, intense thrillers.
