Rating: Summary: It's best not to buy a Lemon... Review: *Dead in the Driver's Seat* is the sixth book in the Amanda Hazard series by Connie Feddersen. Once again, Feddersen manages to mix a little bit of everything into a wonderful package for fans of this series.Hazard and Thorn are re-engaged and are planning a quick getaway wedding when Velma, of Velma's Beauty Boutique, takes over the planning for both of them. Rating: Summary: I love this book Review: Ms.Feddersen did a great job in this book. Making these characters still fresh and interesting through her series. I loved that Thorn used Amanda invesigative skills. A logical conclusion since she has solve a few other murders. The decision of his to make this change and recognize her worth is endearing. A man that allows a woman to grow in her potential is very rare and special. As special as the love between these two people. As a girl from a small town I can sympathize with those humorous trips to the beauty parlor. I hope that Ms. Feddersen continues this series for some time to come I always enjoyed each trip South.
Rating: Summary: I love this book Review: This book was very disappointing. Thorn is put on probation at the beginning of the book for taking Hazard along in pursuit of her stolen car. Thorn then, completely out of character, gets back together with Hazard by asking her to tap into all of her investigative "skills" to clear his name and get his job back. The rest of the book follows Hazard around as she tries to get information--where Thorn is during all this is a mystery in itself. He doesn't seem to be at all concerned with clearing his name himself. Add a couple more disasters at the beauty salon that are beyond being remotely believable and stilted dialogue in which other characters refer to "the Dead in the Mud Case" and you've got the idea. I only finished it because I wanted to see if it would keep getting worse. I will save you the trouble--it did.
