Review: *Dead in the Melon Patch* is the third novel in the Amanda Hazard mystery series by Feddersen. In this hilarious episode, Hazard has decided she's going to prove police chief and boyfriend Nick Thorn wrong by cooking up a storm to win the County Fair prize for canned and baked goods. When she drops of her entries at the designated farm, she discovers the body of Sheila MacAdo dead in the melon patch. To the untrained eye, Sheila fell off the ladder when fixing her beloved TV antenna. But in Hazard's "professional" opinion, a murder has taken place. With some reluctant assistance from Thorn, it's up to Amanda to solve the mystery! Even if it means raising cane with all of Sheila's ex-husbands.

Review: I read this in one day. It was very enjoyable. I am looking forward to reading her other books and hope they will be as good as this one.
