Summary: Very entertaining
Review: I enjoyed the mystery, the humor and the setting in Japan.
As we learn more about Morimoto and Suzuki (and Yamada and the chief) they become more interesting.
A very enjoyable and entertaining read.
I hope Hemion continues the series soon.

Summary: As good as it gets
Review: I like reading mystery books, and this is one of the best books that I've read. The story is relatively short, but long enough to feel what the author tries to show us under an incident.

Summary: Yes, it is.
Review: I read both Morimoto series, and this second one looks much better in terms of its plot. I love both of them, though.

I was really enthusiasted when Morimoto and his team developed deception to prove who's in charge of burglaries. It was even funny because some characters are similar to characters in Japanese comics.

Summary: Inspector Morimoto and Police Officer Suzuki are so clever!
Review: I really enjoyed the continuation of Inspector Morimoto and Police Officer Suzuki's work. In Okayama we are so proud to have such clever detectives working with us. Everybody can enjoy the fascinating plot of this book, and the ingenious solution found by Inspector Morimoto and Police Officer Suzuki. Thank you Timothy hemion for another great book!

Summary: Another symmetrical mystery story!
Review: I was looking forward to reading this book after finishing the story of the two umbrellas. And this time I could read all about two diamond pendants. Symmetry is a key element of Timothy Hemion's stories and they make very fascinating plots. A female inspector like Suzuki is interesting. She is a very clever woman. I would like to know more about her in the next stories. I think that everybody will enjoy this book a lot.

Summary: HELP!
Review: My friend in Georgia is Timothy Hemion's daughter, and she is always pushing me to buy the books. She says they are great, but of course it will be when it is her dad. Can someone reveal the basic plot... NO SPOILERS, PLEASE! Thanks to all.

Summary: Clever plot!
Review: Out of the three books in the Inspector Morimoto series this book may be the most satisfying to detective literature "purists". It appears complicated but ultimately has a pleasing simplicity. Very enjoyable! The insurance agent Mr Sasaki is introduced in this book. I strongly recommend it!

Summary: A great continuation of the series!
Review: There are two parts to this book. First Inspector Morimoto and Officer Suzuki have to figure out what happened, and then in the second part they have to trap the person who they think is the criminal. Overall, it's a great plot which you can try to deduce for yourself, but most people won't get it I think. Like the first book, there's more on the Japanese train system. And lots of laughs and wry humor as well. We learn more about Suzuki's character in this book, and we are able to understand the Chief of Police a lot better (who is one of the best characters). I think Inspector Morimoto will be a famous detective character who everybody will enjoy. He likes to have fun while he works.

Summary: Truly excellent!
Review: This book reminded me of my trip to Miyajima island in Japan. The writing style is clear and to the point - I like it.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Good exercise for the brain
Review: This detective story made me think more than the other detective stories that I have read. It is fun. Morimoto and Suzuki make a good team. I'm going to go to Japan and visit these places one day. This book is one of the best detective stories I have read.
