Summary: An ok read
Review: This is the first Slade novel I've tried, and it wasn't bad. The writing's ok, the story's ok, and the characters are pretty good. Now, keep in mind that it's a thriller and some of the stuff that happens is, um, unlikely, in a real world. Make shift hangman nooses I'm sure are not the easiest things in the world to set up, and one has to wonder about the amount of strength needed to do some of these things, but... The only problem I had with book, is the research done. While it's nice to read a book that has been researched, it's another to read all of it in a book. At the end, you'll know your hangmen history quite well. Like I said, it's an ok read.
