Rating: Summary: A Wonderful Play Review: Filled with twists and turns, this is a very entertaining play that has a lot of suspense and many surprises. If you're a fan of Ira Levin and like his other plays and novels, you'll like this one as well. Very claustrophobic and nerve-wracking. There's no way you can anticipate the shocking ending.
Rating: Summary: Veronica's Room: A Masterpiece of Suspense Review: When reading Veronica's Room, I didn't give it a fair chance. I had such high expectations after reading "Deathtrap", that I honestly wasn't expecting to be surprised. But I sincerely was. "Veronica's Room" is an excellent piece of theatre: entertaining, full of suspense and quite spooky and frightening. Everything happens in one room, and the characters are nameless (or are they?). This is something that I found highly original and intreaguing. Audiences will appreciate this play to much acclaim if it is done competently and there are no weak links. Otherwise, because the action is so intense, the production could suffer. All in all, I was enthralled by this play from start to finish, and recommend it to any drama group for production. I can assure you that the audience will be gasping for air and sitting at the very edge of their seats throughout all the twists and turns ending in a totally unexpected climax. Ira Levin is, no doubt, one of the greatest suspense/thriller authors throughout.
