Summary: The Subplot Was Better Than the Plot
Review: A pretty awful book altogether. I love the Claire Malloy series, but this novel totally missed. I never could figure out why Claire cared for the fates of those appalling secondary characters, each one more loathsome than the next, including a bunch of tiresome Druids (a plot convention indicative of a desperate mystery author). Her daughter's misadventure with the mall Santa Claus was much more interesting.

Summary: The Subplot Was Better Than the Plot
Review: Joan Hess has yet to write a bad book (and I've read them all). Her books are a hoot! Funny and entertaining, she can always put a smile on my face.

Summary: Good for one time read
Review: This book was not as interesting as poisoned pins. I hope the author finds a better boy friend for Claire Malloy than The CID Inspector Peter Rosen as he seem to have no depth of character. I eagerly await to read the next mystery.

Summary: Disappointing - seemed to have no conclusion
Review: While I enjoyed all of the Claire Malloy book series, I found this one wanting. The ending was not satisfying but incomplete and not up to author's standards. Hopefully, the next one will leave the reader feeling satisfied.
