Summary: Cook's best!
Review: As a first book, this was great. I am pleased at Cook for writing such a great book. HE cares about his characters, and makes you get a feel for their position and who they are. Up to the present moment, I have read three of Robin Cook's books. They were all great but this is the one I preferred. If you choose just one, please do make your choice count by selecting this one. Have fun !

Summary: The story was fair
Review: but this abridgement is the poorest that I have ever heard or read. There were many elements left out of the story, including some that were mentioned on the cover! With all the missing elements of the story, I'm sure there were nuances that were totally missed, leaving just a fair story with no build up or satisfying resolution. What remained was a "B" grade short story, making me very cautious to ever buy another abridgement. If you like Robin Cook, and want to hear this audio book, I strongly suggest you listen to the unabridged version. It most definitely has to be much better!!

Summary: great medical thriller
Review: I really enjoyed this book. The storyline was great; However, the ending left a lot to be desired. This was the first R.Cook novel I ever read and I was not dissapointed. Harmful Intent was suspense at its best.

Summary: The best realistic fictional medical book in a long time!
Review: I thought that this book was very realistic. I liked how Robin Cook made you think just as Jeffrey Rhodes did. You could actually feel the suspence of the situation!

Summary: Amazingly Breath-Taking
Review: My first robin cook and i havent looked back from then on. Its been a long time since i read 'Harmful Intent' but i still remember it being a great read for a non-medicine background reader. The reason i still read 'robin cook' books is proof enough that i like him. He has a knack of blending suspense into situations which one may think as, well, day to day proceedings in hospitals etc. He is a great writer and this book is just another of his masterpieces.

Summary: Everything you want in a thriller
Review: This book was great! It has everything you could want in a medical thriller. Technology, murder, love, and much more. The begining of this book grabs you with a situation that will touch your heart. You cant help but to shead a tear. Many people will relate to the situation that Jeffrey is in. Loosing everything you have worked for and loved in your life. The ending will make you happy you finished the book.

Summary: You need a shot?
Review: This is the first RC's book that the MDs aren't guilty of medicine malpractice , albeit the book has too many coincidences is a great story if you aren't pregnant, if such is your case don't read it until you have your baby.
As always with these kind of books you'll be afraid to go to any MD or hospital because you will see the dark side of medicine's practice, but you will be hooked to the book all the time. I don't know if its possible to poise a vial as is written in the book but that will make you check and recheck the medicine vials always.

Summary: Don't waste your time or money
Review: This novel relies too much on far fetched ideas and coincidences. I thought it was boring.

Summary: Typical Robin Cook. Wonderful!
Review: This was an exciting book with many twists and turns. Dr. Cook does a good job at hiding the villian in this novel until well into the book. He accomplished this this by only mentioning his name once prior to bringing him in as a full character. We (car pool) liked the way in which you start out hating the character Devlin and in the end thinking that he really wasn't such a bad guy after all. On the down side. Dr. Cook often forgets that many of his readers are not in the medical profession and may not be familiar with the terminaology. We also didn't care much for the reader Donada Peters. We have listened to other books by Mr. Cook and have liked most of them. However, general concensus is we liked Dr. Cook's Blindsight the best and Brain the least. In conclusion, keep putting them out Dr. Cook.

Summary: great medical thriller
Review: This was the first Robin Cook book that I read and it got me hooked. I've read many of his books. Unfortunately, many of his books have similar plot themes. Nevertheless, this book was fantastic. He has a suspenseful way of writing and medically, is accurate. You will enjoy this book, especially if you have a medical background (although I don't think it is necessary).
