Summary: A book that promised much more
Review: This is a book that could have been really good. It sounded good,and got me to pick it up. But, upon reading it, I was less than impressed. It seemed as though the author was writing the screenplay for a Tv movie. I was going to give up on it, but found I was more than half way through, so I soldiered on. Dont get me wrong, its not a bad story, but I could have done without the italicised (is that a word??),over stated sentences that were aimed to provide the importance of various bits of the story. Its a book that I wanted to read, but wondered why I had subjected myself to the loss of some of my life, that I cant get back, upon finishing it! Its a light, easy read, and if thats all you are looking for, go for it. I felt like I had been promised a 2 star michelin meal, but ended up with a kebab!
