Summary: A winner
Review: Allen Holloway paid abusive Troy Russell to divorce and leave his pregnant daughter Jenny. Fifteen years later, Troy has returned for a new handout and is low enough to use his own son as a pawn for cash. Rather than turn to her father, Jenny flees to Santa Fe to start anew.

Former cop Hunter Calgary obsessively tracks Troy because he believes the thug killed his sister so Allen asks him to keep safe his beloved daughter and grandson. Hunter vows to make sure that the snake does not harm the two Holloways, but soon finds himself in love with Jenny. However, he knows anything permanent is doomed because once she learns the truth as to why he is here she will flee. Still, he risks his life to keep the duo unharmed from a malevolent individual who does not mind committing homicide to gain easy money.

Romantic suspense readers will enjoy Janelle Taylor's latest thriller IN TOO DEEP because the story line never slows down until the end. The estrangement between the two older generations of Holloways seems forced as Jenny refuses to turn to her father for help even with the return of her dangerous former husband. The obvious contrast between the two key males with Troy the psychopath vs. Hunter the hero is a bit too blatant, but on the other hand, the audience will root for Jenny's champion to triumph because he is such a nice person. Ms. Taylor has written an engaging damsel in distress tale that will delight her fans.

Summary: Highly recommended
Review: Heiress Jenny Holloway renounced her father's money years ago, preferring to make her own way on her hard work and talent. Her first act of rebellion fifteen years ago hadn't gone so well. She married Tony when she was eighteen to escape her father's marriage to a much younger woman. When Tony became abusive, she allowed her father to rescue her and to pay Tony to disappear. Tony never knew he has a son. Now Jenny is opening a restaurant in Santa Fe, pleased to be a successful career woman and mother. She doesn't realize her ex has plans for her, or that her new love interest has been hired by her father for her protection.

Tony remembers Jenny as a good thing and looks forward to an opportunity to gain control to her father's money, not to mention getting under her icy exterior. But he's underestimated his ex-wife. While Tony may find a way to monopolize their son's emotions and make Jenny feel threatened, he doesn't know she has protection lurking in the background. When Tony killed Hunter Calgary's sister, escaping without charges, Hunter's obsession never lessened. Now he intends to not only exact his revenge, but to protect Jenny as well. But concealing his identity and motivation could easily prove counter productive as they grow emotionally close. Indeed, it doesn't take long for Hunter to know he's in too deep.

Once again author Janelle Taylor pens a fascinating read with IN TOO DEEP. While she returns to an often-used plot, the family dynamics as well as the tension of attraction between hero and heroine led the novel a startling realism. Indeed, Taylor also a knack for getting into the head of the sadist villain, brilliantly portraying his dangerous escalation of rage and cruelty. IN TOO DEEP comes highly recommended.

Summary: Very Good Read
Review: This was a very good novel. It was hard to put down because I desperately wanted to see how Troy was going to pay. I think he deserved worse, but the novel was still satisfying. I look forward to what comes next by Ms Taylor. She always manages to please.
