Rating: Summary: Aa Good Read! Review: The St. Louis Cardinal is an inspiring story of suspense and intrigue dynamically woven into the present day issues of the Catholic Church. As well as entertaining the story provides "behind the scene" inside information on the internal workings of the Church.
The St. Louis Cardinal is well written and well researched. A good read that you will not want to put down until the last page is turned!
I have read an excerpt from Episode 11 on Mr. Atencio's website, which promises another excellent story!
Rating: Summary: The St. Louis Cardinal - Episode I Review: This new writer is going to knock Dan Brown right off the Best Seller's list. Richard Atencio has written a short work of fiction that has well constructed characters, a fantastic plot, and scenes so real, you'll remember them weeks after you've finished the book.A new Cardinal of St. Louis, chosen by the Pope, has just been installed. He tells his audience of his wishes to bring the Roman Catholic Church back to its former glory and undo the chaos of the previous 30 years of "progressive theology" and ruin. The bishops in America are aghast at his announcement and a plan is hatched. An Arab terrorist is hired to kill the Pope! The Cardinal is called upon by St . Michael the Archangel to perform a special service for God -- save the Pope. With only minutes to spare the Cardinal is "bilocated" to Rome to fulfill his mission. This wonderful story had me on the edge of my seat through the whole book, it's a real page-turner, and it actually gave me chills. Regardless of your religious beliefs, if you love a story full of suspense you'll love The St. Louis Cardinal - Episode I. I can't wait for Episode II.
