Summary: A good enjoyable read
Review: When I read the book jacket it sounded like it was one I had to pick up. But after finishing it I can tell you that the snippet from the jacket was more exciting than the story itself. The story is bland and muddles its way all the way to the predictable conclusion. The ending was like a bad episode of Scooby-Doo when they reveal the twist and you are left to sigh, and roll your eyes. That is how I felt when I finished. The main character; Ben Revere is weak, under-developed and not one I cared for. James Bond of the art world, not likely. There was no room in this book for a romance. It was distracting and took away from the impact of the story. The only thing I enjoyed was the European background. Not one I would recommend. For much more enjoyable thrillers try: Fatherland by Robert Harris and Boys from Brazil by Ira Levin.
