Summary: A Journey of Discovery
Review: After receiving a faded photograph, Kylie Rollins sets out on a quest for the truth. Still reeling from the sudden death of her mother, Kylie now learns that the life her mother led - the things Kylie had always believed - are nothing but lies.

Her journey takes her away from a fiance who betrayed her with her best friend, to finding new friends, grandparents she never knew existed, to finding herself and who SHE is, and a realization of God's redeeming love and grace.

Hidden Things really touched my heart and I can't wait for Precious Things, the third in the Faded Photographs series.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A must-read!
Review: Andrea Boeshaar has done it again! HIDDEN THINGS, the second book in the 'Faded Photographs Series', is fantastic! Mrs. Boeshaar's skillful writing let me clearly imagine the old faded photograph that sets Kylie Rollins on a journey into the past where surprises and twists await the reader. Beloved characters from the first book, BROKEN THINGS, are woven into the story giving the reader satisfaction in learning how their lives continue to unfold. HIDDEN THINGS is a heartwarming, page-turning story! I can't wait to read the third book, PRECIOUS THINGS.

Summary: Heart grabber!
Review: Andrea Boeshaar takes you on a journey of faith, love and trust which are all tried to their fullest measure in the life of one woman whose life is turned upside down. I was captured by the story and found myself immersed in the pages in the first paragraph. A wonderful read and I highly recommend you buy it when you have time to read the whole thing with a nice cup of tea. :-)

Summary: Intriguing from start to finish...
Review: HIDDEN THINGS held my attention from the first page. The intermingling of realistic characters made me feel as if I were a part of the story, and I found myself caring about what happened to the people within the pages. Kylie's search to uncover the "hidden things" of her past led her down a beautiful road of discovery. I highly recommend this and other books by Andrea Boeshaar.

Summary: Heartwarming, Enchating Tale
Review: Hidden Things, the sequel to Broken Things, by author Andrea Boeshaar, is a heart-warming tale of a young girl whose world is turned upside down when she discovers that her mother may have lied to her. A faded photograph sends her on a journey to uncover the truth of the past. Will her journey lead her back to the man who claims to love her? Or is that an allusion as well?

Hidden Things is a delightful tale filled with rich, believable characters, and a story that will keep you turning pages until the end. Some of the characters in Broken Things make an appearance here. A third book in the series is due out in May 2004. I look forward to meeting up with many of these characters again. Andrea Boeshaar has done a wonderful job of weaving an enchanting tale. You won't be disappointed.

Summary: Inspirational Fiction at It's Best
Review: I was already hooked on the Faded Photograph Series before I finished Broken Things by Andrea Boeshaar so it didn't take long for me to get caught up in the newest of the series, Hidden Things. The key character, Kylie Rollins, grows from a nominally believing Christian to a rock-solid believer just when her "perfect" world seems to be falling apart. Engaged to the "perfect" man, good job, her life is falling into place in spite of the tragic death of her mom. Then with the receipt of one faded photograph everything turns upside down and Kylie isn't sure who she is anymore. Thus begins the journey of Kylie searching for Kylie. For those of you who have read Broken Things, many familiar characters will greet you in this segment along with some likeable new ones. I can't wait for Precious Things to see how Andrea wraps this all up.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Engaging Story
Review: Soon after her mother's death, Kylie Rollins has the shock of her life when she discovers that the loving couple who raised her were not her biological parents. Things get worse when Kylie's fiancé deceives her and a lifelong friend betrays her, leaving Kylie no alternative but to escape her rural home town for a while to sort out all the lies. On her soul-searching odyssey, she meets new friends, unknown family, and a Savior who is Truth personified.

In her latest novel, Hidden Things, Andrea Boeshaar has done it again: written an engaging, exciting, and enchanting story with many unexpected turns and surprises. Every character is drawn from real life. Even the new-found, doting grandparents are not stereotypes but, rather, like living, breathing people we all know, with charming foibles and interesting quirks. Imaginative descriptions of settings are pleasantly minimal, just enough to "put you there." True-to-life descriptions of spiritual struggles, sorrows, and triumphs draw the reader along on the journey. It is as though a good friend is relating to you the story of her life. And at the end, we are left with . . . Ah! But that would be telling.

I highly recommend this excellent novel, Hidden Things.
