Summary: An Officer and a Lady... indeed!
Review: i have been a Rex Stout fan for years but found my interest waning in Archie Goodwin's sarcasm and Nero Wolfe's pettishness. So i tried 2 different books: Under the Andes which is AWFUL and htis book which was surprisingly DELIGHTFUL! Several short stories, carefully written, with a twist in each one. They have a hint of O. Henry's influence possibly? i would highly recommend it to anyone who likes short stories, surprise endings, or just simple stories of humanity.
