Review: The characters in Gary Perkins & Hal Stockbridge's Closet Governor engaged me from the first page - I wanted to know more about them. From the Lieutenant Governor who is about to become the reluctant Governor to a twenty-something reporter trying to find a front page story, everyone has a pull. Soon you realize how people are linked together and the story keeps a lively pace. As a State Representative, I particularly enjoyed the political side to the story and found it to be very true to life.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes mysteries or politics. Especially nice is the fact that it has gay characters but isn't weak gay fiction as is too common.
