Rating: Summary: Characters worth getting to know. Review: The Patterned Flute is the first in a trilogy of novels featuring clever, funny, fiddle-player Kate Halton and her love interest, the ne'er-do-well but sexy photographer, Liz Sharpe. Well-written, sharply observed, and just general good fun. Not as smooth or as carefully plotted as the two novels which follow it, but well worth the price of admission.

Rating: Summary: The Patterened Flute Review: This novel starts out in search of a missing flute which is found. Then is moves on to finding the thief which in turn moves on to missing persons and an ugly cult. I think the main plot is about waivering between the dos and don'ts of relationships and settling for the committed life. It's a bouncy novel with lots of traveling through England and France. Pleasantly written and a happy ending.
