Rating: Summary: Typical Dan Brown Review: Digital Fortress is a tightly-wound page-turner, but with wooden one-dimensional characters and some of the worst research ever. The author has standard airplanes landing at airbases which don't have runways, for instance. Glaring inconsistencies crop up throughout the plot, but that's typical for Mr. Brown. If you want a thorough treatment of the kind of work Dan Brown is known for, read Kellmeyer's "Fact and Fiction in the Da Vinci Code" (0971812861). It shows where Dan gets some of his ideas from, and the picture isn't a pretty one. Digital Fortress might be worth the money only if you like Doc Savage type novels.
