Summary: Review for "All That Remains" by Rita Hestand
Review: "All That Remains" is an extremely intense exploration of character that will keep you turning the pages for more. With colorful, if not downright flashy characters that won't soon be forgotten. The story revolves around two main characters, Darrin Banning, the rich bad boy, and Kristina Rivera a tough, go get 'em lawyer.

Their backgrounds are non compatible but their instant attraction for each other leads us to one of the most remarkably honest relationships to be found in modern day times.
Both have a mountain of hang-ups, emotional turmoil and downright unfair history.

"All That Remains" takes every soap opera and makes them look like child's play. In the beginning we find Darrin accused of serial murders, and looking very guilty. Then in walks his gutsy lawyer, Kristina, with a past of her own, and a point to prove.
Fireworks begin and never stop throughout the book. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll freak out but you won't put the book down! There's a surprise in every chapter.

S.G. Cardin has done it again. I was truly fascinated with her ability to draw out every emotion, every characterization to the fullest. From smiles to tears, from heroes to cowards, Cardin has drawn us a perfect picture of real life, and real drama. I encourage anyone who likes a good read to try this book! You won't regret it, and you won't forget it!

Summary: A Wonderful Read
Review: All That Remains tells the story of spoiled rich boy Darrin Banning and fiesty attorny Kristina Rivera. Darrin has been somewhat jaded by his experiences in life, including the heartbreaking loss of his beloved wife Andrea who dies giving birth to their child. When Andrea's parents threaten to sue for custody, Darrin hires Kristina to help him with the case.

There is an obvious attraction between the two from the start, but not until they enter into a marriage of convenience to solidify Darrin's custody case does that attraction bear fruit.

Their story is full of longing and self-discovery, and I think that fans of the contemporary romance genre will enjoy taking the leap of love with them.

Summary: Not Bad
Review: Darrin Banning was a spoiled rich boy with a troubled childhood. His antagonistic relationship with his father took a dark turn when he took the rap for his sister to protect her from embezzlement charges. Prison changed Darrin, but after his release love changed him even more. After losing his beloved Andy, all Darrin had left of their love was his daughter Katie, but his snobbish in-laws threatened to take her from him because of his lurid past. At the same time, the town's powerful crime boss has an axe to grind against Darrin's upstanding sister, and decides to use him to take her down. He frames Darrin for murder, which not only threatens his freedom, but his custody case against Andy's parents.

Enter Kristina Rivera-savvy young lawyer full of fire and intelligence who does not care about Darrin's past. As she helps him straighten out his legal woes, and retain custody of his daughter, the two grow closer until mutual attraction and respect leads to love.

All That Remains is a compelling, moving tale of complex lives that intersect just when they need each other most. It is a tale of love lost, and love found that will make the reader cry tears of both joy and sorrow. It is a story about victory over incredible adversity that will touch your heart. S.G. Cardin has breathed such life into her characters that it is impossible not to connect with them, and feel what they feel as you take this journey with them. You will not want to put this book down until you reach the end.

Summary: Not Bad
Review: Not a bad read, but did find it to be somewhat of a "yawner" from time to time. I felt that the story didn't move as smoothly as it should have, but at the same time it did have a good plot. Would probably purchase another book by this writer.
