Rating: Summary: A charming and heart-warming tale Review: I loved this story and read it in one sitting. Diana is a wonderful and warm character and the love story 's outcome, while never in doubt, is developed in an original and refreshing manner. Alex is stiff and solid and very real. You empathized with both Alex and Diana, who were overcoming past tragedies in very different ways. The romance was sweet, the background story politically correct, but still fit within the Regency framework (well maybe the feminism was stretched slightly, but not stridently). The villain is a little too cartoonish, but everything else rang true. This was the third in a trilogy about brothers and I had not read the first two, but did not find it a handicap. I recommend it highly.
Rating: Summary: Sparkling Regency. Review: The hero and heroine in this book are both wounded, but their past trauma doesn't embitter them. They both have the courage to love, despite their wariness. I loved Diana's shy courage. And Alex was a strong, honorable man.
Rating: Summary: This is Kerstan's best Review: This is the first and still the best Kerstan novel I have read. A wonderful hero and heroine who both deserve to find love and happiness and therefore allow the reader to gladly cheer for them.
