Summary: Re-read a thousand times
Review: I found this book years ago in a Kroger book section. And since that time, I've re-read it a thousand times. There is nothing more wonderful than the play between Rand and Sylvie. Rand is the hero I believe most women would love to find, whether physically, or someone as fun to be around. The Wiccan elements are wonderful. Having been in the Craft for over 20 years, I can give the author a great thumbs up for telling the truth about witches.

As for the Deloup House, I wish often there was such an attraction in Lousiana - and that when I visited it, Rand would be there.

A must for all of you wanting humor, horror, a strong female lead, and a beautiful hero - read Waiting for the Wolf Moon!!

Summary: Is this a reprint of the Silhouette Shadow series?
Review: Miss Vaughn is a terrific writer. My question here is if these books in the Dreamscape series are not the same books that were released earlier under the Shadow imprint.

Summary: Synopsis
Review: NOBODY HAD TO TELL SYLVIE PEABODY THAT SOME THINGS WERE BEYOND HUMAN UNDERSTANDING. AFTER ALL, SHE WAS A WITCH-A WHITE WITCH OF UNCOMMON POWER. BUT EVEN SHE WAS POWERLESS TO EXPLAIN THE NIGHTMARE THAT GRIPPED THE LITTLE TOWN OF STAGWATER WHENEVER THE FULL MOON APPROACHED. WAS IT REALLY POLLISBLE THAT A WEREWOLF WAS STALKING THE LOUSIANA NIGHT? AND WAS IT PURE COINCIDENCE THAT THE HORROR HAD BEGUN WHEN THE VERY MYSTERIOUS RAND GARNER BOUGHT THAT CRUMBLING OLD ESTATE ON THE EDGE OF TOWN? HE WAS A MAN WITHOUT A PAST, AND SYLVIE KNEW SHE MUST NOT FALL PREY TO HIS LETHAL CHARM AND ANIMAL GRACE. AND YET NOTHING COULD KEEP HER AWAY FROM HIM-NOT EVEN HER RISING TERROR.....

Summary: I stumbled on this book at a used bookstore!
Review: This was an incredible book - I read it in 1 day - I could not put it down!

Summary: A First Book and a Magical Coincidence.
Review: WAITING FOR THE WOLF MOON was my first novel, and in retrospect its creation seems charmed from start to finish. I had recently dated a man who worked at a haunted house attraction (like the hero Rand), and we used to joke that there should be a line called "Harlequin Horror." Imagine my surprise when I learned of a new line called "Silhouette Shadows" starting!

Not half a year later, I'd made my first sale.

The story of Sylvie the witch and Rand the special-effects artist (and werewolf?) touches on many themes near and dear to me. I wanted to write about a hero with an infectious sense of humor ... and a ponytail. I wanted to write a story with a Wiccan heroine. I wanted to write a horror story with a strong, independent female character instead of one who would just stand around and scream. And as I grew up partially in Louisiana, where I set this book and its three sequels, I even had a personal connection to the place. I still believe it's one of the most personal books I've written; the heroine is a lot like me.

WAITING FOR THE WOLF MOON turned out to be the first of four books, called the Circle Series, which I wrote for Silhouette Shadows over the next four years. The other three books, each about one member of Sylvie's witches' Circle, are BURNING TIMES, BENEATH THE SURFACE, and FOREST OF THE NIGHT. Each heroine is representative of one of nature's elements -- Sylvie is air.

Good luck finding a copy. Let me know what you think!

Summary: Re-read a thousand times
Review: Yvonne Jocks (aka Evelyn Vaughn) blends real magick with a great fantasy in the Circle series. I was also sad to see the Shadows series end, it had such potential for authors like her, and great stories like this. Anyone who wants to get an idea what real witches are like should try to track down all 4 books in the Circle series. Any reader who is simply a great fan of romance, horror, or fantasy cannot do without this series either. This was my intro to the world of Yvonne Jocks writing, and I've been hooked ever since. As always, a great job done.
