Summary: Sequel to "Nobody But You" -- Very highly recommended
Review: A malevolent plot intends to use a top-secret laser for wealth and revenge. Operatives Amber Robinson and her partner Brandon are assigned the case. Amber has been with the Unit since she was fifteen. It has become her family as well as providing the latest and greatest tools technology offers. She believes that she would never give up her spy world for anyone or anything; that is, until Amber and Brandon track terrorist mercenary Drake's girlfriend Diana to a apartment complex. Then Finn catches her attention.

Soon Amber realizes she is not the only one observing Diana. Neighbor Phineus "Finn" Teague watches Diana from his window as well. Little does he suspect that his innocent musings, daydreams of becoming Agent Python, will lead him into a dangerous world of spies and espionage. Suddenly his innocuous wishes to escape boring depositions and overburdening student loans lead to life of intrigue beyond that which he imagined. Now he will do anything to protect the spy he loves.

Julie Kenner's superb gift for storytelling dazzles in THE SPY WHO LOVED ME. With so many books on the market, readers are hard put to find author's who distinctive style brings them back again and again. But Kenner is one of those authors who's artful humor and the fully developed characters bring her stories vividly alive, even in the seemingly contradictory blend of fantasy and reality. Whether she is writing about superheroes or spies, Kenner creates tales that consistently charm and intrigue. THE SPY WHO LOVED ME come very highly recommended.

Summary: Tongue in cheek, Jane Bond espionage romantic suspense
Review: In Los Angeles, thirty-seven years old attorney Phineus "Finn" Teague detests his current work that leaves him bored even at its most exciting moments. Instead he hides inside his apartment dreaming of being a super agent saving the world and getting the girl in an eight hour job. However, his daydreams dramatically change as he lusts over his neighbor Diana Traynor.

Amber Robinson works undercover for a top secret government agency. She and her partner Brandon are tracking Drake, terrorist mercenary by tailing his girlfriend, Diana. Amber has even moved into the same complex. When Finn seems to be everywhere especially when it comes to Diana, Amber wonders if he is a bad spy though his background check states civilian lawyer. She decides to seduce the truth out what appears to be a wild card operative not realizing that he will take her to some place she never has been before: love.

THE SPY WHO LOVED ME takes Walter Mitty and places him inside a James (make that Jane) Bond-like thriller complete with beautiful babes, wacky wizardry, a vile villain, and a stupendous spy story. Amber is a wonderful protagonist while Finn is a bungler who quickly learns reality is a lot different than dreaming or game playing. Yet he will risk his life if it means Amber is safe. Tongue in cheek, readers will appreciate Julie Kenner's espionage romantic suspense tale.

Summary: A "Keeper"!
Review: Phineus "Finn" Teague is a 37 year-old lawyer who hates his job. He often fantasizes about being a super spy. Dangerous missions, wild women, and saving the world would be all in a day's work. Instead, Finn is a jack-of-all-trades type of person. The closest he's ever come to spy work was computer hacking, and that is all behind him now. Even though Finn should be doing his paperwork, he finds himself staring at the gorgeous new neighbor and daydreaming.

Amber Robinson is an elite operative for a government agency, Unit 7. She and Brandon are keeping tabs on a former Navy SEAL and Black Ops commander gone bad and his current flame, Diana Traynor. Finn is an unknown player to Amber and Brandon. His background check screams civilian, but he is keeping a very close eye on Diana. Was he a civilian, an agent with a deep cover, or has a third party entered the picture? Amber would have to stick very close to him to find out.

***** This book is as outrageous as watching a James Bond 007 movie! Danger lurks in the back ground throughout the entire story and how I love all those spy gadgets! The action and romances builds quickly (I found myself on the edge of my seat more than once while reading) and the climatic ending is awesome! This is a Keeper! *****

Summary: THINK MAXWELL SMART AND AGENT 99 - FUN READ!
Review: Remember Dragnet, Maxwell Smart, Agent 99, and the Super Heroes? Well, the unique blending of words and Julie Kenner's original sense of humor will bring them back to readers' memories during their sojourn through THE SPY WHO LOVES ME as her characters fight a greedy, sinister pair out to conquer the world.

Phineus Teague graduated law school and thinks of himself as the next Perry Mason, stunning everyone with his genius in a courtroom. Instead, he spends endless hours in a tiny office doing research - where he continues to fantasize. Finn is a daydreamer and his fantasies outdo any published fictional tale. He can look at a pretty woman and off he goes into dreamland to experience a wild adventure, where he is the shining hero who saves the woman and the day. Oh well, back to real life where his boring job pays the rent and gives him a paycheck each week. One of these days, he's going to meet the woman of his daydreams and she will be much different than Amber Robinson, the dull looking neighbor who moved into his complex less than a week ago. Yeah, he's going after a sexy woman who loves adventure -inside the bedroom and out...Oh, sometimes men can be so blind!

Amber Robinson is a knockout and a lady of adventure doesn't come close to describing her. She's a gun-toting agent with a camera hidden in her shoe . Amber and her current sidekick Brandon Kline were rescued from a juvenile center by an organized government agency when Amber was only thirteen, and they've both climbed to special agent status and now work for the best unit in the Providence organization. Unit 7 is Amber's life and family and nothing or nor one will change that.

Unit 7 commissioned a top-secret space-based weapon system, and before the system is completed it self destructs, which means someone found the access code and breached security. The Unit learns Diana Traynor, who they knew was already friendly with a former Navy SEAL gone bad, has also befriended a programmer working for the same defense contractor that is building their system. Amber's orders are to keep an eye on Diana.

From this point on - Julie Kenner's unlimited imagination takes over to develop a novel filled with unusual twists and turns. There is no doubt she will hold your interest and give you chuckles while she reveals her story. Along the way she builds a hot romance to challenge Amber and Finn, and builds on the excitement, suspense and adventure created by the evildoers. Different from her Aphrodite series, yet still in the same flavor of do-right heroes, THE SPY WHO LOVES ME will thoroughly delight readers who enjoy a diversion from real life as they flip through these pages for a light, fun read.
