Summary: Suspenseful and very romantic!
Review: I had to force myself to finish reading this book because it was Ms. Taylor but, I will not do so again. The main character Mia Anderson was so stupid at times I wanted to smack her. I understand people have self esteem issues but, this was way over the top. I understood she felt like her ex-husband made her into someone that he wanted but, you kicked him out of your life so move on. If you want to dress like you have no fashion sense just to be opposite of what your ex-husband wanted you to be I thought was just plain stupid. I may be a little harsh with the criticism but, Mia's character just made me mad.
In one scene the man supposedly stalking her Norman Newman sees her on the street and wants to talk with her and asks her to have coffee with him but, he doesn't want to go to the place right across the street from where he met her. He says he knows of a place not too far away and lets walk. Now if you suspect this man is a stalker and possibly a murderer why would you walk anywhere with him. That was just one stupid example of how the story went throughout the book. Mia and her love interest Matthew Gray are investigating the death of his brother and her twin sisters involvement in it and whether she is the killer but don't want to involve the police. I kept reading on because I kept hoping the book would get better because I love the authors other works but, I feel like I wasted my time with a subpar story. Some of the simplest things to figure out and the author wrote them like they were idiots. I am sorry to say I would rate this book below standard for Ms. Taylor.

Summary: Very Corny
Review: Mia is a teacher who has just gotten over a divorce with a guy who made her change her entire identity. Naturally, the guy was just treating her HORRIBLY by calling her names, cheating on her, never giving her any good comments... (Why did they get married in the first place?)

One day, conveniently occurring during the summer so the author doesn't have to deal with the heroine's job, she receives a call from her twin sister announcing, "I didn't do it! I'm leaving town! I'm calling you for no apparent reason. Oh, by the way, you're always on my mind even though I've been avoiding you my entire life." It turns out the crime is that a man who constantly cheats on his wife has been murdered. He's the fourth victim of similiar murders.

The dead man's brother and the heroine quickly team up to find the murderer. They both think, "SCREW THE POLICE, WE CAN SOLVE MYSTERIES BY OURSELVES JUST LIKE THOSE PEOPLE ON TV! ALONG THE WAY, WE CAN DISCOVER OUR TRUE, MEANINGFUL RELATIONSHIP WHICH WILL HEAL OUR DAMAGED SOULS!"

They couldn't figure out simple connections. For example, the murderer left the rings and wallets with the victim. The murder also made sure the rings were being worn by the cheating husbands. What does this signify? Hmmm... By trying to figure this out, the heroine actually states, "My brain is turning to mush again." How hard is it to figure out that it reinforces the idea that there marriage=no cheating?

Mia cried most of the time, the hero always manages to rescue and find her in the nick of time (about 3 times), and the bad guys are really crazy-sounding. But hey, this may be your type of book *shrugs*. I, for one, am not anxious to try another one of Janelle Taylor's books.
