Summary: A winner
Review: Near Lake Wright Pattman, Texas, after approximately a quarter of a century of marriage and two children, Audrey Williams catches her spouse Sam cheating. Perhaps she could have handled it better if the other party was a younger, taller, blonder sex goddess, but Sam's boudoir mate is his older legal partner, Paul, leaving Audrey to wonder how long has this been going on? The marriage is over and Audrey vows never again. However, that sexual encounter pales next to the fact that her son Malcolm stands trial for murder in Houston.

With numerous witnesses attesting to the fact that Malcolm heold the murder weapon, Police Officer Kirk Maxwell arrested him. When Kirk sees Audrey for the first time he realizes that she is on the edge of a breakdown just like he felt when his beloved spouse died. Perhaps observing her courage enables Kirk to finally let go of his own ghosts, but with Malcolm in the middle, chances of her reaching out to him are slim in spite of their obvious attraction to one another.

DANGEROUS DILEMMAS is a powerful romantic suspense novel that works because the key cast members seem authentic and the scenario confronting Malcolm feels real. Evelyn Palfrey cleverly introduces ethnicity through indirect means so that the plot is enhanced rather than slowed down with an explanation. The story line is loaded with action and emotion from start to finish (just ask Audrey if there is any doubts). Evelyn Palfrey has written a wonderful tale that will excite sub-genre fans to become loyal followers of this writer and her career.

Summary: Wonderful, mature romance
Review: This book was a good intriguing read. I felt as if I could really get to know and like Audrey. Full figured with not so perfect kids and the ultimate betrayal by her husband, she didn't let that stop her. We all know that men like meat on their bones, so it was only natural that Maxwell be drawn to her. Marybeth and Danny had me laughing out loud. Go ahead Marybeth, get you groove on. I was glad to also be able to visit with the characters from the other 2 books. Can't wait for the next one.

Summary: OK.
Review: This book was entertaining at best. I love Evelyn's previous works. I wish this one would have explored more the relationship with the ex-husband after what happened. He just seemed to fade away. The ending was surprising, discovering what really happened the day of the murder.

Summary: Very Good
Review: This book was even as good as The Price of Passion, and that was good. I liked Audrey. The fact that she was betrayed as she was and how she handled things was just great.A lot of people couldn't handle what she saw and moved with the grace that she did, but she did. Another good read.

Summary: ok
Review: This novel was ok, but i liked her other two better. It's the story of Audrey who falls for the main cop who's trying to get her son for a murder that she dosen't believe he committed. MaryBeth is Audrey friend who can't help falling in love with a much younger guy.

Summary: A very engrossing read
Review: When I started this book I could not put it down. There was something about Audrey's realism as a woman and a mother that drew me in and kept me there. She was funny, smart and human. The man that stole her heart was strong and mature. He was older and I liked that. He showed her that 'together' is the only way to work out a problem...though, I must at admit, in the begining he seemed to be settled into some OLD thinking about kids. I found my self near tears when Audrey's health issue came up. It was so touching and found a deep place in my space as I too could relate to trying to have a relationship while 'sick'. I nearly cried. But all in all it was a book for all reasons...my reading reasons, that is.
