Review: For someone who is new to the writing game, Ms. Cooper definetely has a winner on her hands. You become so engrossed in the story that you hate to put the book down. You are there with Adrena feeling everything that she's feeling. It's enough to make you want to jump in the book and rescue her yourself. If you haven't read it, what are you waiting for?!?!

Review: From the very beginning the author captivates your attention with Adrena'a realness. She is what an everyday neglected, abused child could turn into. I felt for Adrena through out the whole book like she was my little sister (even when I knew she was doing wrong)you can't help but get caught in Damaged it's one of the best ever!!! You will think you watched a movie.

Review: How do you write a book where every character comes to life, every word and experience-sad or joyful is felt in your soul, and you visualize every moment in the main character's life? Well, Ms. Connor has done just that!!!!!With my attention span, I particularly liked the short chapters that kept me turning the pages and saying to myself "Oh, I'll just read one more and then I'll put it down"!!! Bernadette Connor is a truly beautiful person and author and I recommend that you read this book and meet her at her next booksigning.

Review: I arbitrarily selected this book for my book club to read. Once I started, I couldn't put it down! I loved the characters and the very detailed desciptions of their habits. This fictional novel kept me engrossed and captivated.

Review: I could not put this book down. This debut novel by Bernadette Y. Connor is excellent. Although the subject matter of child abuse is a hard pill to swallow, I found myself captivated with the characters of this novel. The main character Adrena Reynolds, had me crying with her as she recalls the horrific treatment she received as a 10 year old child. As she discovers new experiences that others would normally take for granted, I laughed, cheered and became prideful as if Adrena were my own.

There is not a slow moment within the novel. It held on to my interest from beginning to end. Please, Please, Please Ms. Connor hurry and come out with your next novel. I can't wait.

Review: I could not put this book down. Ms. Conner made it all so real. I laughed, cryed and prayed that there will never be a child that should have so much pain in their life. I also learned about the real world and how much abuse of any kind can damage your life forever. This book was extra-ordinary because it put the lives of many to save the life of one. I can't wait for Ms. Conner's rights to a movie and her next book. Keep it real!

Review: I had to put it down when they described the abuse. It is inconceivable to me that a mother would let that happen to her child. I was happy to see Athena come together in here teens. What about that wedding......
