Summary: A wonderful contemporary romance
Review: Lillian Harte and Gabe Madison first met at the wedding of their siblings in Eclipse Bay, Oregon. Sometime afterward in Portland, Gabe asks Lillian to find him a wife through her successful computer dating service. After five failures at getting her client interested with decent dates, Lillian decides to return Gabe his money. She plans to shut down her thriving firm to commit to her passion, painting.

Gabe continues to pester Lillian even after she leaves Portland to return home to Eclipse Bay. As Lillian and Gabe become better acquainted they fall in love, but both question whether a responsible Harte who breaks that family mold and an irresponsible Madison who breaks that family mold can forge a relationship in spite of the success of their siblings?

DAWN IN ECLIPSE BAY, the sequel to the wonderful contemporary romance ECLIPSE BAY, retains the warmth and freshness of the previous tale. The story line is fun as the citizens of Eclipse Bay watch another Madison-Harte couple fall in love. The lead characters are dynamic while the supporting cast rounds out a story line that proves Ms. Krentz remains one of the best genre authors of romance.

Summary: Another winner!
Review: Loved Eclipse Bay and this is a terrific continuation. Cannot wait for the finale. Keep up the great work, Ms. Krentz.

Summary: Dawn in Eclipse Bay
Review: Much weaker compared to her first book in this trilogy. For Gabe to leave his company and take off to Eclipse Bay to chase after a woman is a bit out of this world. And Lilian, who admitted that she's a little flaky, is a real flake.

The line about Gabe being 'a different type of Madison' was used so many times, it got old quickly.

In her first book, one can really feel the sparks between the lead characters. Unfortunately in this one, the chemistry is pretty lame. I've read all of her books and know that Krentz can do better than this.

Summary: Not up to Eclipse Bay standards, but entertaining enough.
Review: The grandchildren of the Harte-Madison feud are at it again.

Lillian and Gabe met at the wedding between his brother and her sister. Both are the oddballs of the Harts and Madisons. He is the Madison that is a superpower in business when all other Madisons seem doomed to fail, and she is the 'failure' of the Hartes when all other Harte are groomed for success. She is the the successful matchmaker, but wants to close the business and become a full time artist to the shock of family. The problem: Gabe. After the wedding, where sparks arched between them, she was not surprised to find him on her door step. Only she was disappointed the find he wanted her services to find him a wife. After five disastrous dates arranged, she just wants to end the contract, but he won't. Gabe is determined to hold her to it - personally. And he follows her back to Eclipse Bay to prove it!!! You will meet all the noisy characters of EB, including Arizona and her conspiracy theory about the institute on the hill. This time she is convinced they are sneaking in the bodies of the aliens from area 51! JAK gives you guaranteed great read!!

Summary: Gotta love a good family feud!
Review: The Hartes and the Madisons are at it again - this time, it's Lillian Harte and Gabe Madison who become swept into each other's passion. Thankfully, Ms. Krentz understands her readers well enough to directly continue on from "Eclipse Bay" - it is enormously satisfying to have such continuity between the stories. These families have a zest for life and a strength of will and commitment that leaps off the page, although I must confess that I found the romance between Hannah and Rafe a little more vibrant. However, this was a fun read and Jayne Ann Krentz knows how to weave a wonderful tale. Bring on volume 3 - I can't wait to find out about Nick and Octavia!

Summary: Where is the 0 star rating when you need it.....
Review: This is to anyone who has read this author before and has enjoyed her style of writing. You will probably enjoy this one as well. I however, have decided never to read anything she writes again. The author's style of writing is too juvenile for my taste.

You can read the Editorial Reviews for the book description. The main character Lillian has a knack for jumping to the wrong conclusion and her lack of common sense was laughable. Another character by the name of Arizona Snow was obsessed with frozen aliens, which was both pointless and too stupid for any real humor. Towards the end of the book when common sense finally catches up with Lillian {after a long and exhausting chase throughout the book} and she realizes who the person is that's behind the break-in and vandalism of her beachfront home. She goes in search of the proof she needs and to confront the person. This was not a confrontation at all; it was more like a very civil disagreement between two really good friends. A small spat if you will. The ending was very disappointing and it was a real effort on my part to finish the book.

For those that haven't read anything by Jayne Ann Krentz and you come across this review before you have a chance to read one of her books... TRUST ME AND SKIP THIS AUTHOR. Try Karen Robards, Judith NcNaught, Linda Howard and or Nora Roberts. You will not be disappointed in either of these authors I promise.
