Review: There are some good stories in this collection but I would recommend reading "The Mammoth Book of Pulp Fiction" first. Once you have read those stories, come back to this collection. It's not as good as the other collection, but it'll help "fill the corners" in your appetite for pulp.

Review: This book looks like a great read, but beware. The stories it contains are almost all from the 30's, which is a seriously outdated collection, and contain childishly naive, silly stories that are almost comical in today's society. If you're looking for good, hard-boiled fiction noir, this isn't the book to read.
