Summary: Just Another Winner
Review: I am consistently baffled by the reviewers who would have you believe that Carol Higgins Clark is not worth reading, that she is a terrible, no-good, very bad writer. I must disagree, once again. Let us review what I've said earlier in other CHC reviews.

CHC is much like Agatha Christie inasmuch as Christie's writing was, like CHC's, formulaic and light on character development, high on plotting. CHC's plotting is ingenious. Regan Reilly is a likeable character, even if she isn't very well drawn. CHC is not trying to be James Lee Burke or Sharyn McCrumb or Sue Grafton who are very high on character development. No, CHC, I believe, doesn't want anything to take away from her story. She's telling a great one in "Iced".

In this wonderful suspense tale, Regan Reilly and her mother Nora Regan Reilly and her father Luke Reilly are all in Aspen, Colorado with some friends. They are there to enjoy the skiing and the fine dining and help Regan's friend Louis open up the Silver Mine Inn. Several valuable paintings are being swiped by who people think is Eben Bean, an ex-jewel thief. When in reality Eben has been kidnapped by the real thieves who themselves are being watched by "the Coyote", a expert art thief. There are enough twists in here to keep you guessing and enough characters so you don't get bored. Snap up a copy of CHC's "Iced", curl up under the covers at night or lounge on the couch during the day and go to Aspen with Regan.

Summary: A Terrible Book
Review: I couldn't wait to finish this book. The plot andthe dialogue was bad. I sped right thu the book after I read the first 45 pages. This book was the worse than any of the 3 books of hers I had read. This book should have beeen iced by the publisher before it was ever printed.

Summary: A GREAT MYSTERY! A LIGHT READ!
Review: I found this book to be very good. The one thing I like about Carol Higgins Clark is that her books are very good and suspensful and very simple and light to read.If you are looking for a mystery to read on a snowy night I would recommend this! Better yet if you are at a ski resourt and you are looking for a good mystery this would be a good time to read ICED!

Summary: Great book!!!!!!!!
Review: I really liked this book. But I have to admit she's not as good as her mother, Mary Higgins Clark.

Summary: Carol is not her mother
Review: I think these people have written very nasty reviews. Carol is not her mother. She doesn't write the same kind of books as her mother.

She has her own style & her book are all good.

Carol I think you are a good author.

I have everyone of her books & have injoyed all of them.

Summary: Definitely not great literature, but fun nonetheless.
Review: I was given this book several years ago and just read it recently.Yes, it is predictable and far from great literature; yet I found it to be fun. I think "movie of the week" is a perfect description. Sometimes you just need a simple, predictable story to escape with. I found this book to be the perfect boring, rainy day companion. A nice break to my usual reads. To me, I found it to be a way to pass the time similar to the Harlequin Romances I read as a pre-teen. A good book to read when the environment is hectic and full of frequent interruptions i.e. while travelling, at the beach, on the bus, in a house full of very young children. I would read more books by Carol Higgins Clark.

Summary: I loved this book ...
Review: Iced by Carol Higgens Clark captured my attention from the first sentence to the last. I've never read her mother's books, so I can't compare them, nor would I want to. Carol Higgens Clark has a style her own, and thank goodness for that. Her fast-paced, witty, humorous dialogue moves the story along at a rapid pace.

From this reader's viewpoint, Iced, doesn't purport itself to be anything more than it is--an entertaining, quick read, and those are hard to come by these days.

Review: It was more like "comfort food" reading. Predictable but hey.
Definitely not up to what I normally expect from her. Don't give up, try another of her books.
