Rating: Summary: Fabulous Review: This is Sheldon delivering what we expect as only he can do it. It's a page-turner, probably the best since Craig Furrnas' THE SHAPE. Filled with twists and turns.
Rating: Summary: Not his best Review: Although this book has a somewhat interesting plot I feel the side stories weren't completely thought out. Mr. Sheldon could have made this a more interesting story than he did. Pick up one of his earlier works before this one.
Rating: Summary: Another Fabulous Book! Review: Once again, Sidney Sheldon has written a GREAT book. Like all of his books that I have read, I could not put it down. Sidney Sheldon is my favorite author and I look forward to every one of his books. Thanks, Sidney, for your great work!
Rating: Summary: ANOTHER SHELDON MASTERPIECE Review: Sidney Sheldon has done it again. He has written another great novel. It was hard to put down. It was spellbinding and mesmerizing. The characters are real and the dialogue is well written. I was not disappointed when I finished it, except that it was over. I highly recommend this to everyone!!!
Rating: Summary: excellent Review: i thought the story was very good. as usual very good story line and exciting book.
Rating: Summary: Entertaining, but definately not Sheldon's best Review: Sheldon's books always seem to be fast paced, and he doesn't disappoint in his tendency to travel the globe in his stories with this book either. But this novel seemed a little too predictable, a little too "cut and dried", and the characters never fully developed into what they could have and should have been. Plus there was no feeling of satisfaction at the end, no good follow ups to the leftover threads from incidents and even characters that were only partially developed in the story. However, I do love Sidney Sheldon, and all of his books do indeed offer up a quick, fast getaway that is enjoyable and easy to get into. If you are a first time Sidney Sheldon reader, I recommend some of his better books, like Master Of The Game, Bloodline, and If Tomorrow Comes.
Rating: Summary: Sheldon never fails to keep reader glued to hs book Review: by far, this is one of his best. the ending is a bit weak but the rest of the book makes up for it. It is suspense and sex and its best.
Rating: Summary: AN EXCELLENT READ Review: This a terrific novel, one of Sheldon's better recent books. The premise is thrilling. America's "royal" family, the Winthrops, is wiped out in one year in what appears to be a series of accidents. Dana Evans, a TV reporter in Washington, is suspicious that they might be related after interviewing the last of them just before he dies suddenly. She travels the world to investigate and piece the puzzle together. At the same time, she must face significant personal difficulties, including helping a Sarajevo orphan adjust to his new home and the loss of an arm and allowing her fiance to spend a great deal of time with his ex-wife during her battle with breast cancer. As usual, Sheldon starts and ends with a bang. The story takes the reader to many intriguing places, including a secret village in Russia that actually exists. If there's any weakness, it's in the middle where the investigation gets a bit mudane, though this does add credibility to the story. What's really refreshing about THE SKY IS FALLING is a light touch and humor not usually associated with Sheldon. Truth be told: as a novelist, he can do just about everything.
Rating: Summary: Par Review: See storyline above. As far as the story goes, it is a real page turner. I must admit this is my first Sheldon novel. I'm a little disappointed in the brevity of his writing style. It reads somewhat like cliff notes. It is, no doubt, fast paced, but written in the summary style that it is, it would be hard to be slow paced. If you just want a fun read, and really quick, this is the book for you. Recommended...For younger readers and older readers who like thrills.
Rating: Summary: Sidney Sheldon is a great story teller Review: Sidney Sheldon is my favorite author. I anxiously await every book he writes. I only gave this book 4 stars because I always compare his recent works with his earlier works and the recent ones although very good, do not give me the total involved feeling I use to get when I read his earlier stuff.
