Summary: Thrilling!
Review: Guilt By Association is the most captivating, thrilling book I had it my hands. It sucked me in from the first page and left me wanting more at the end. What a wonderful story of survival and revenge. Kudos to Susan Sloan, I will be a lifetime reader - can't wait to receive An Isolated Incident! Thank you Susan!

Summary: Heartbreaking and uplifting -- highly intense!
Review: I agree you should not try to read this book at bedtime... Makes for good reading more than once, because you can pick up new details any time. An interesting contrast between the lives of two privileged people, one an aggressor and one a victim, one a man and one a woman, one with a enabling, alcoholic "mother" and and one with a domineering "mother." It's not just a crime story, or a story of revenge -- it's a study in sociology.

Summary: For a hard to please reader like myself, this was great.
Review: I am a difficult person to hold to a book and there were absolutely no problems here. This was a fast paced, exciting book that kept her heart pumping with thrill and emotion. It got your blood boiling at one point and at another, put a big smile on your face. I must say, I was quite surprised at the end and did not expect anything of the sort. Susan R. Sloan most certainly knows how to spring on a surprise ending; in both of her books.

Summary: ONE YOU MUST SHARE!!
Review: I first read "Guilt By Association" two years ago and I so thoroughly enjoyed the book that I passed it on to a great deal of my collegues. So far they all have enjoyed the writings of Susan Sloan. A MUST, MUST READ!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A real pageturner...
Review: I had my reservations about the topic, but I must admit Sloan got me hooked from the start. It's a fast read, a definite pageturner. Looking forward to reading more from this new author!

Summary: A Must-read thriller!
Review: I had never heard of this author before, but am definitely anxious to read her next book. It was timely, fast-paced and kept you guessing at the contents of the next chapter. The characters were genuine, and the ending superb, as well as completely unexpected. A winner!

Summary: Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear
Review: I honestly cannot believe that the other reviews here are serious. I got this book for free and I still paid too much for it. I don't think I've ever read anything this cliched and embarrassing in all my life, and I read John Grisham books. The characters are puerile, one-dimensional and utterly stereotypical - there isn't an interesting soul among them. The dialogue is consistently irritating, and the pace makes an asthmatic sloth look like Carl Lewis! People, I implore you, do NOT listen to the other reviews of this book. Save yourself some money, and go and buy something really good. The only way you'll be able to read this is if you're desperately trying to avoid doing revision.(sic)

Oh, and a final thought for Warner Books to put on the back of the next reprint - This book has absolutely no redeeming features whatsoever.

Summary: I couldn't put it down!
Review: I immediately identified with the main character's vulnerability. Susan Sloan shows us how this young woman's life was permanently altered after a hideous crime was committed because of innocent trust. You experience her shame and her anger which climaxes into the ultimate revenge. This is a must read book about survival and strength. I am reading it again while anxiously awaiting her second novel.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Better than An Isolated Incident!! Gripping!!
Review: I just finished Sloan's second book, and frankly I could not put down this one!! The fine cast of characters is richly drawn, and the plot twists albeit trite on the surface are exciting. It is a quick read that I think is even better than her sophomore effort.

Summary: MY ALL TIME FAVORITE BOOK RECOMMENDATION
Review: I once asked an "avid" reader to recommend the best book she had ever read and she told me to read Guilt By Association. She wasn't wrong. It became my favorite recommendation to give to others who just want a "plain great read". If you are the type of reader who likes to read the last page first, don't ever do this with a Susan Sloan book. Recently, on a trip to the Carribean, my daughter asked me what book she should read on the beach. Of course I gave her Guilt. I sat next to her as she was finishing it and her first response was, "Oh, My God". She, along with everyone else who has read this book, read the last page over and over again in disbelief. Sloan is a masterful writer who keeps you guessing at every turn and cheering on her victim.
