Summary: Outstanding: As Good as a Novel Gets
Review: A stunning first novel. After finishing this book my biggest surprise (besides the ending itself) is why this book and its author are not better known. The book is, at its core, a legal thriller, but it is far more than that - it is a first rate literary novel. It surpasses anything that John Grisham, Scott Turow or Richard North Patterson have written. The characters are three dimensional and the story itself, especially the reaction of the authorities and Karen Kern's family to her rape, are all too accurate. So too is the consequence of the rape on Karen herself. The book would make an excellent text for a course in contemporary society on any college campus.

Summary: Review of a Lifetime
Review: A tale of one woman's struggle to remain in her life. I gave this book five stars because it touched me deeply and ever since i read this book i've told all of my friends to read it. Even they said it was a book of a lifetime! If you have thought about reading this book i advise you to be the age of 14 or older due to graphics and details in this book.

Summary: Did I miss something?!!
Review: After reading all of the glowing reviews, I thought maybe I had read a different book. I found the writing amateurish, the characters nothing more than stereotypes and the plot totally predictable. Not much of a thriller -- more of a snoozer.

If you want to read good, well written legal thrillers by a women authors, I would recommend those written by Lisa Scottoline or Perry O'Schaughnessy.

Summary: Oh pleeeze! sophomoric, juvenile, bland. Shall I go on?
Review: After reading the amazon reviews and being one who enjoys suspenseful novels, I bought the book.I should have bought lottery tickets. I've read 200 pages and don't think I can finish it. Was the author's brain soaking in syrup while writing this? Spare me the mother's high-horse, crap-don't-stink behavior. And Karen's childish dialogue becomes silly and laughable fast; serious in one breath, joking in the next. Please!

The worst part about this story (there were many to choose from)is that the author relates nothing in the dialogue to allow the reader to know when events are taking place. had the beginning not been prefaced with "dec. 1962", there is no way of knowing that's where this begins. And this flaw does no justice whatsoever to teh conversations amongst the characters.

Should I finish this book (doubtful), I may write a sequel to this review. But with so many books out there, I don't know...

Summary: It's an incredibly gripping, can't put it down read.
Review: An author I had never heard, but I decided to give it a try. After reading books by Grisham and Koontz it was hard to believe that this woman could write so intensly and you never get board. It keeps you wanting to know "What happens next". I look forward to reading another one by Susan R. Sloan.

Summary: A Real Surprise
Review: For the debt novel,I loved it. It has been along time sence I got into a book on the frist chapter, this one did it for me.
I'm not done with it but could not wait to pass on how I loved it. Just like the cover says what a great ending.

Summary: The Very BEST revenge book ever!
Review: Great plot, even better surprise ending. This is a book you won't easily forget.

Summary: I absolutely loved this book.
Review: Guilt by Association by Susan Sloan has become one of my favorite books! Sloan's main character has many endearing qualities which make her so real and vulnerable. The twists and turns of her life lead the reader through decades of living almost ala Forest Gump. This reader experienced the pain and joy and untimate need for revenge along with the spirited Karen Kern. As if ripped from the headlines, politics and reality mix with suspense and mystery. Keeps you guessing until the end.

Summary: If you read only one book this summer, this should be it!
Review: Guilt by Association is the most amazing book I have ever read. I actually had to cancel plans one night so I could stay home and finish it. It is a fast read book that has you on the edge of your seat the entire time. A must read for all book lovers.
