Summary: An abandoned child, A lost chalice
Review: From the queen of suspense, Mary Higgins Clark brings us yet another thrilling work, "All Through The Night" all starts at the St. Clement's Church. Seven years ago, in the advent of christmas, a young mother abandoned her baby in front of the church, while a theif inside was trying to steal the chalice. Seven years later, again in the advent, the mother was desperate to find out what happened to her lost child, while the priest was also hoping to know the whereabouts of the holy chalice. In this thrilling work, Alvirah and Willy (from the Lottery Winner) again helped solve all those mysteries, yet the innocent child, still waiting to meet her mother, was linked to the lost chalice. Mary Higgins Clark presents her latest work "All Through The Night" as a perfect christmas gift to her readers. This time, she not only manages to keep her readers turning the pages all through the night, but she also grasps the touching element that will remain in her reader's hearts all through the christmases.

Summary: NOT ENOUGH
Review: I am a big fan of Mary Higgins Clark and I look forward to each novel she writes. I was very disappointed this time. We knew what was happening from the beginning not her usual twisting plot, page turning, keep you up all night suspense novel. I love Willie and Elvirah but it's time for something new. Are we getting lazy since the marriage??

Summary: too little, too expensive
Review: I am an avid fan of Mary Higgings Clark. This book however lacked the bulk of her considerable skills. It was almost as is she had to do one more book to complete a deal. It was short in size and it lacked the neccessary charactor development to sustain even the weak plot involved. Better luck next time.

Summary: All Through The Night
Review: I am an avid fan of Mary Higgins Clark, but I was extremely disappointed with this book. The beginning was worthy of a Clark novel, but quickly lost its momentum and became predictable -- something that I had not experienced before in a Clark novel. The storyline had potential; however, it quickly became dull and improbable. What a letdown!

Summary: Dumb
Review: I had never read Mary Higgins Clark before, and I don't know if I will again. The plot had potential, but there was NO suspense at all. The dialogue was cheezy, and the events very unrealistic. If the prologue had been omitted, there would have been some suspense, but the storyline was spelled out for the reader; it was easy to predict what would happen. How can the book claim to be written by the "queen of suspense"?

Summary: This Book Belongs in the Wastebasket!
Review: I have been an avid Mary Higgins Clark fan since I was in middle school. This book is the one exception to her usually sterling works. I HATED IT! First of all, I hated the idea of any baby being abandoned. That was very upsetting to me. I also hated the idea of anyone stealing a Holy Chalice from a Catholic Church. Theft and desecreation of Church property is very upsetting to me. The part I felt most isulted readers' intelligence was when the abandoned child's (called Stellina by her cruel guarians) reappeared and out of nowhere Alvirah and Willy appear and announce to the mother that they are angels there to help her. How did they find the mother? And how did they know she was Stellina's mother? The predictable reunion of mother and child fell flat on its face. Gently put, this book is a big disappointment.

I wouldn't wish this book on anyone.

Summary: One of her better efforts
Review: I have read several Mary Higgens Clark books, and although I've never been a real fan, I must say this book was one of the best. It was enjoyable in that it didn't have just the details about the main plot, but there were also several subplots, and, of course, they all came together to a very satisfying conclusion. I will agree with others that this is not typical MHC, it is better. It involves real emotion, not just suspense.

Summary: All Through the Night
Review: I have read several of Mary Higgins Clark's longer novels. "All Through the Night" is a Christmas story featuring Alvirah and Willy Meehan, Clark's recurring characters. This story is not meant to be up to par with her longer novels, and the readers who have complained that it wasn't long enough fail to realize that Clark was commissioned to write a Christmas story only. Alvirah Meehan solves two mysteries; one concerning a missing baby left in front of a church 7 years earlier, and the other concerning a phony will. I enjoyed the story, especially during this time of the year.
