Summary: If you Like Tom Clancy . . .
Review: . . . you will enjoy Wil's Bones. I am a busy author (113 books so far), publisher and speaker. I am very selective about investing my time in fiction. This story is fascinating and well written. I could not put down the book. DanPoynter@ParaPublishing.com

Summary: A thought provoking book
Review:

This is a good story. It will probably hold your interest; it did mine.

The author, Kevin Bowen, is a health care consultant with master's degrees in divinity and history. He has lived in India, but now lives in Port Townsend, Washington--a delightful little seaport town on Puget Sound with a Victorian atmosphere.

This book also begins in a small Washington town: Hazel Dell. Perhaps an unlikely setting to begin a novel, but appropriate in some ways considering the story line.

The story involves the impending visit by the United States' Secretary of State to Israel, and a plot by Islamic fundamentalists to thwart the peace process by killing her. The U.S. and Israeli governments are determined to keep a lid on the situation, and so they enlist the services of a well-known archaeologist, Dr. Wil Wilson, to help them to unobtrusively search for explosives. No one is prepared for what they found.

It is an intriguing story. The characters are well drawn, and the motivations believable. If I have a criticism, it would be that some of the religious reactions are vastly overstated, but you will have to read the book and decide that for yourself.

Summary: Couldn't Put Down
Review: After receiving a description of the book from author in Birmingham, Alabama I set down and read the book. I found it to be very moving and the action kept me wanting to continue to read it.I found it to having me think about my faith and how much I depend on my teaching all through my life. Kevin told me he was writing another book and I am looking forward for it's release. I do not like to compare writings with other authors but it remains me of a combination writing from Stuart Woods, John Grisham, and a Tom Clancy short story. Thank you Kevin for a delightful book.

Summary: up-to-date historical intrigue
Review: finished quickly! slow start blossoms into "can't put it down!" yes, kevin bowen superbly laid out this political intrigue/historical novel. Wil, disillusioned archaeologist, thanks to "father," on state dept assignment uncovers "the bones of Jesus," alongside a stone bearing the inscription, "king of the jews" ... tho' it doesn't conform to other nearby stones.

then the current president adds a large 'post-Christian era' plank to his re-election campaign. further research puts Wil in "hot water," with his discovering yet more -- not the least of which involves campaign financing -- about "the bones" ....

Summary: Unable to put down
Review: From the title to the reading, this book keeps the readers attention. The story of the search for Christ bones and the consequences if they are found, is told boldly and in such a mannar that I was spell bound. It was and is an adventure to read.

Summary: A Sleeper
Review: I believe this is the Christian fiction book of the year. I read very little fiction but I simply could not put it down. A wonderful story that makes you think, believer and unbeliever alike. I hope to see more from this wonderful writer

Summary: A Fun Adventure that cannot be put down!
Review: I can't wait to see what the author writes about next. The characters were real and the plot kept me thinking far beyond the last page.

Summary: Thin Plot, Preachy, Boring
Review: I couldn't even finish this book it was so bad. The characters aren't developed, the plot is thin, and the author is so preachy it's annoying.

If you really want to read this, do yourself a favor and get from the library. Save yourself $...
