Rating: Summary: Best in awhile Review: A real page-turner for me. I've read every one of MHC's books; she's one of the few authors I buy in hardback because I don't want to wait to read her latest. I had trouble deciding "who did it". Thought this was better than her last few books.
Rating: Summary: a question Review: well there were very mixed reviews on this book. i haven't read it but i definetly will to get my own opinion on it.
Rating: Summary: I couldn't wait to get to the end. Review: After reading each chapter, I thought I knew who "did it". I was constantly changing my mind the whole book. At the end of the book, I was totally surprised.
Rating: Summary: Vintage Mary Higgins Clark Review: More plot twists than you can shake a stick at, with a finish that rivals 'The Triumph and the Glory' for raw emotional power. Not quite as good as 'Black Notice' by Cornwell but four star material all the way. I RARELY miss one of Mary Higgins Clark's books, she is a master at what she does. Some of her latest novels have been stronger again, she seems to be on the comeback trail after a few pretty average efforts int he mid '90's.
Rating: Summary: Spouse - a - Cide ^ ^ My favorite subject! Review: And whoever dubbed Higgins Clark "America's Queen of Suspense" was off the track. She is the WORLD's queen of suspense if this book is a sample. She is the new Agatha Christie/Mary Roberts Rinehart/Conan Doyle! Fran Simmons is a heroine who could withstand a lot of mileage, and Molly Lasch makes an engaging throwaway one-timer. The situation to situation/character to character layering gives it a kind of a texturing; one of many earmarks of a great writer. Incidentally, there's a couple of additional topnotch suspense reads involving the offing of a better/worse/other half - A CAT''S FULL NINE and THE ALTERNATE.
Rating: Summary: Great Book Review: I just finished reading We'll Meet Again. I read it in 2 days.I loved the suspense of the novel. The characters were terrific. Ifelt so sorry for Molly. Fran turned out to be just the friend Molly needed.
Rating: Summary: Same as the rest Review: I have read almost all of her books. This one reads just like the rest. If it were my first one, I may have liked it more; but they are starting to get old and monotonous. It's worth reading, but not her best.
Rating: Summary: Always keeps you on your toes. Full of twists all the time. Review: If you read Mary Higgins Clark, you know she writes a great mystery story. This was one of thoses books you just never want to put now. And you are always think you have figured out who "did it." It is well worth reading. I have read everyone of her books and I loved this one!
Rating: Summary: ANOTHER GREAT BOOK!!!! Review: Even though the ending was a little weak, I still loved it!!! It may be like some of her other books and storylines, but that's fine because I love all her books!!! I'm so glad that I bought it!!
Rating: Summary: A Thrilling Novel by the Master of Suspense!!!!!! Review: Once again, Mary Higgins Clark shows us that she can write a successful mystery novel.
