Rating: Summary: This is her worst book ever!!! Review: The premise of the book- "young wife with amnesia kills husband who happens to be a doctor and no-one believes in her innocence except for a scrappy reporter with a past" plays like a bad detective novel with a really dense set of supporting characters. This book was definitely not the caliber of earlier Mary Higgins Clark. The character's are one dimensional and the dialog is sometimes hilarious and often stilted (no-one talks or thinks this way). It appears that this one is simply a book that she had to write to get the publishers off her back.
Rating: Summary: Better than the last few... but same suspense elements! Review: Here last few books have been pretty bad... they made me stop buying Clark in hardcover; I get them from the library now. But this one was much better... the plot was more intresting and mangaed to hold my interest. But... must she always use that itty bitty sound or word that some character just CAN'T remember until the very end right when they're about to be killed? And how about a slightly different ending than... 'victim is about to be killed, but figures out what's going on too late; other people figure it out and rush to her rescue...' It's been done, Mary, by yourself over and over. Luckily, the attempted bombing was thrown in there too. And was it just me, or did no one else care about the characters all that much? Most of them seemed to be spoiled rich people... I didn't even like Fran all too much... Clark didn't do too good of a job convincing me that she really cared about anything besides the news show.
Rating: Summary: Fast-paced and professional, but cut from a formula Review: Mary Higgins Clark is a "commodity." Readers know what to expect -- a fast-paced murder mystery with a spunky heroine, red-herring clues and a twist ending. They get all of this in "We'll Meet Again." Yet I'm left with a feeling that the novel was enjoyable but not special. At least she hasn't fallen into the trap Tom Clancy has, where he feels he is above the reader and doesn't have to work at his craft any more.
Rating: Summary: Not one of her best Review: I am a big fan of Mary Higgins Clarks books but I do not think this was one of her best.Too much focus on the world of healthcare.I could have done without that. Also the chapters were too short.I like longer chapters. So as I said, not one of her best.Hope her next book is better.
Rating: Summary: Mary Higgins Clark is becoming repitious Review: While Mary Higgins Clark has been my #1 favorite author since sixth grade, recently I have found her novels to be somewhat repitious. It seems that all her main characters are successful, attractive women living on the east coast who all become the killer's main target. Although this novel was well written, I feel that Clark is losing that special creativity she once held in those books that she had written at the start of her career. However, the plot to this novel was substancial and, like all of her other novels, I couldn't seem to put it down.
Rating: Summary: It was a great book and everyone should read it Review: It was a suspenseful thriller one of the best I have ever read. I loved it.
Rating: Summary: Nail-biter...Clark at her best Review: I am a devoted reader of Ms. Clark...and have been for a long time. Though this follows somewhat her standard formula for mysteries, it is one of the best she has written in some time. It was difficult as are all of her books to put down.
Rating: Summary: i have fifty pages left in this book! Review: this is a fasinating book and i find it very well written. though there are many, many characters i have found it no harder to read...it is very wonderful and heart breaking...if i was molly i would have died. i am very happy that m.h.clark talks about God and the Bible more than she has in her other books. it is a great book...i hope i will not be disappointed in the ending of the book!
Rating: Summary: One of her best yet! Review: Loved it! I will agree that the ending could have been better, but overall it was a great book. This is a book that you savor and wish would not end....the delicious suspense building on every page with no gory scenes, but very scary nevertheless. Thanks for a great one, Mary!
Rating: Summary: I like this book! Review: I tend to love all of Clark's books. I think she's a great writer-I love the way she describes everything. Her plots are always creative and exciting and she develops her characters thoroughly. I liked the character of Fran but not as much as I usually like her leading heroines. I was rooting for Molly a little more (and maybe a little more romance for her would have made it perfect). Although the ending was a little rushed, I still would recommend this book!
