Rating: Summary: A Fairly Good Read Review: This is my first Mary Higgins Clark novel, and while it was slow at times, the pace picked up as the book went on and was capped off by a rather stunning climax.
Rating: Summary: Not one of Mary Higgins Clarks' better works. Review: It was difficult to get into; I found it hard to hold my attention. To much jumping around from character to charater; situation to situation. She has definitely written better books.
Rating: Summary: As good as ever Review: Despite some fairly negative reviews surrounding this book, I bought and devoured it. The beginning is slower than usually permitted in a thriller, but it's this author's trademark to establish the characters before plunging them into a lot of trouble. And establish them she does, so that by the end of the book you're really sorry to say goodbye. The theme emphasised some of the ills of our society, without being preachy. The plot is complex and good, although I did guess "whodunnit" pretty early on. I'm certainly not sorry I bought the book. You can read it on many levels.
Rating: Summary: I love this book! Review: This book is one of Higgins' best. I have read almost all of her books and this time she out did herself. I was in total suspense up until the end. Well Done. I recommend this for all mystery fans.
Rating: Summary: fast-paced but mindless reading Review: This book, along with all her other books are always entertaining and suspenseful. However, after reading most of her books, you come to realize that she uses the same formula for all her novels. The reason that you can never figure out who the villain is is because the characters are not developed and there are no real clues that can dictate who that person can be. It's like rolling a dice and any number has an equal chance of being rolled. I usually read her books when I want a light-harded book but don't expect any quality writing or real mystery. Do you notice that all her main female protagonists always have a male interest or inevitable lover? All part of her main formula.
Rating: Summary: Excellent!! Review: I have read ALL of Clark's books. This one did catch me like all the other ones but still, it was a reeealll good book. The last couple of books have been about 3 stars. I'm just waiting for some more of her 5 star books that I'm so used to reading.
Rating: Summary: Better than her last few, but not as good as her early works Review: Mary Higgins Clark is still one of the few authors I buy the day her new book goes on the stand, even though her last few novels have been predictable and a bit lacking in color. "We'll Meet Again" has more depth and suspense than her recent works. The characters were developed nicely and the plot twisted well. The length of the book was just right. The only problem with most of Clark's novels is that her "whodunit" is extremely predictable. For past Higgins Clark readers, this book is definitely worth picking up. For new Higgins Clark readers, I would recommend reading one of her earlier novels first.
Rating: Summary: As good as ever Review: My wife and I each order a book a month from amazon, this month she got We'll Meet Again, and I ordered "The Triumph and the Glory" and for the first time in nearly a year each of us also like the other's book. I'd never read any of Ms. Clark's mysteries before, but I plan to do so from here on out, she is a very gifted writer. Oh, and "The Triumph and the Glory" was very good too!
Rating: Summary: Great book by Ms. Higgins Clark Review: I love Mary Higgins Clark's books! I'm a huge fan who always runs out to get her most recent book. I liked this book very much. I love how the reader can never quite figure out who the killer is. This was not Ms. Higgins Clark's best work (I recommend "All Around the Town," "Loves Music, Loves to Dance," "I'll be Seeing You," and "Weep no More my Lady"), but I enjoyed it more than her last few books. Some of the actions of the "evil" characters were a little far fetched, but the characterizations were wonderful. I love to feel like I really know the characters. This is a great book and I recommend it highly.
Rating: Summary: This book was all right..... Review: Not very impressed with reading my first Mary Higgins Clark. She's been recommended to me by many people and this book just didn't catch my attention the way that I thought it would. I read it, and I finished it. That's it. I would only recommend it if you didn't have anything else to do..... ie: laundry, dishes, etc.
